Dog walkers at risk of covid

According to a Spanish report dog walkers are 78% more likely to catch Covid. The report also says that those who get super market shopping delivered are at more risk.
Be careful , it's a mad world.

That's a bit of a sweeping generalisation really isn't it and without any context at all..

Why are Dog Walkers more likely to catch CoViD? Is it because they stop and chat, is it because their dogs contact each other? What is different to walking with a dog than simply walking?

Why is having SuperMarket shopping delivered more risky?

Because of close contact with the delivery person?
Contamination of the goods themselves?

etc..
Without more detail it's pretty useless information that may well lead people to draw the wrong conclusions...

Well I walked my Dog this morning up at Rossall point and due to the shite weather I never met another soul so i’d be surprised if I caught anything other than a bloody cold. 🙄

Don’t always believe what you read.

Yep, I read that either yesterday or the day before. Think in the same article it also mentioned home deliveries from supermarkets. Within an hour of reading it I was walking my dog down the street and I closely passed some-one having a home delivery of their shop. Made me chuckle in an ironic sort of way.

Don't stroke other people's dogs then. Just the customary sniff at leads length (dogs that is)
On shopping, is anyone still bothering to put it in quarantine for about 3 days before opening/using it. Just wondered. Never bothered ourselves.

I’m not sure what this ‘customary sniff at leads length’ is all about... How about keep your dog away from mine!!

If there’s one thing that annoys me about other dog owners it’s the fact they seem to think every man and his dog wants to get involved in their weird practices.

I read a report from Mexico that hazmat suits cannot stop the spread of the virus and that throw ins at a football game are to be banned as it is the prime source of spreading the disease.

(See how easy it is)

Shoot the feral muts and starve then!

For the avoidance of doubt ... I only actually believe one part of the above - and I am not going hungry 👍

Well if your dogs got the same attitude as you seem to have I suggest you keep it away from everyone.

The ** who let their dog deposit a large toffee outside our front door will catch more than ** Covid if I catch them at it next time 😡💩

I try to keep it away from weird dog owners, but some seem very persistent... either they don’t have their animal under control or they seem to be under the illusion that allowing their pooch to ‘say hello’ is required.. The ones with those daft extender leads are the worst....

On a serious note, it’s really bad manners if you ask me. You have no idea about the temperament of the other animal, whether or how the owner is training it...

Maybe all you sociable dog nuts could wear a silly hat or something so the rest of us can recognise you and cross the road 👍

Yesterday we were told we’re most likely to catch it at the supermarket. So we starve to death at least we won’t add to the Covid statistics

Person A with Dog A stops to mutual admire dogs with Person B and Dog B. Both persons SD, Dogs converge and sniff so that Dog B is not SD from Person A. Person A spittle's all over Dog B. Dog B gets a good cuddle from Person B back at home. Person B gets it (assuming Person A had it, of course).

Dog is the conduit.

We spray just about everything and wipe it down. Takes a few minutes, but not a great hardship really.

We will be all vaccined up by April and good to go anyway. Well except for the tin foil cone heads who will still be shouting abuse at the 5G towers and hiding from David Ickes lizard men.
