Dominic Rabb at the helm

I have no particular concern myself but judging by the number of '... but what about Dominic Raab' posts on unrelated threads, clearly some other posters do have doubts.

So here you go👍🏻
Fill yer boots!
But please keep objective, factual and free of insults🙏

Let's see how it unravels. Looks like sticking Adi Yussuf in nets. Hopefully he won't have too many saves to make.

Dominic Raab will have been chosen by Boris as he presents no threat to Boris's position. His performances are wooden and uninspiring(although I am sure they are factually accurate). Gove for example would have been seen as a threat.

Any political leader would have done the same, a none threatening stand in(its just the way they think)

The press conference seems to have fudged this a bit again, saying Boris is still involved.

What bothers me about lack of a clear decision maker is stuff like the Russians pushing into our air space again, as they have done more frequently over the last few weeks.

The UK needs a clear leader at all times, and the guy who didn't know how important Dover was to import/expert is unlikely to have the breadth of knowledge to be that person.

Plus Gove is self-isolating. Easy for him because of his personality.

Exactly that.

I feel we need a panel of experts to liaise with the cabinet acting as a singular unit. This situation is so serious that if better people are available for there to be cross party / cross house involvement along with our scientists and heads of departments.

We really need to forget party politicking and get the very best brains together on the job.

We do. It's called the Civil Service. Government has always worked with the vast majority of business done behind the scenes while the politicians grandstand out front.

Totally untrue. If you don't know something - best not to speak as if you do.

Apologies I don’t know who I am agreeing or not agreeing with on this point.
However, I’ve been a civil servant for 32 years. I haven’t found any gov duplicitous, even if I haven’t agreed with their approach or policies.

Boris and Cummings run the show, both out of the equation. Raab just keeping the seat warm until they're back in sequence so don't expect anything to change in the interim.
Wuhan lockdown being lifted after 11 weeks, can't see ours being much different.

Happened for years buddy, nothing new today.
