Doomed before, nailed on now!

No! It was inevitable Bowler was leaving but the fact your waving your little white flag in Sept make you a miserable bastard who should go buy a nobbers shirt.. or perhaps Fleetwood..?
I'm not a fan of Appleton. He is clueless. The squad is league 1.

The squad is not league one, otherwise we'd be in league 1 - We're holding our own, we've just signed a promising player and your surrendering already?

I hear Burnley and Blackburn are looking for pre-packaged glory hunters.. (check out the links to other Championship team thread)

It has to be said, now we have lost bowler and not managed to bring an adequate replacement, we are low on quality.
The Blackburn match was an eye opener, we really looked a level lower. I think we will be happy with 21st position in the league. That's life I suppose.

Unfortunately Preston could be looking at promotion this year, 7 consecutive clean sheets is very impressive.
That's the spirit 🥃⬅️ half full 🤣🤣🤣

Grumbling will only get worse if results don't improve... It's a tough league this and getting rid of your top players over the last 12 months and replacing them with other clubs development players is not the way forward. I don't think we have anyone to build a team around and that's worrying at this level. Structure of the team has no balance and we have gone from everyone's 'banana skin' and a tough place to come to the opposition saying that's a game we target 3 points and a team we should be beating .
The young team will need learn very quickly if we are to get back to winning ways and finish mid table at best.

Mid table is fine by me👍🏻
When will a lot of Blackpool fans realise that we are competing against teams that A, have massive parachute payments
B, have owners who love to throw massive amounts of money at everything.

The chicken fiddlers have turned down £10M+ this transfer window because their hopes are pinned on Diaz. I guarantee he's gone in January when Rovers are nowhere near the playoffs.
Other teams pay bigger wages and we really can't compete against that.
Hopefully, when the East is redeveloped, the crowds get larger generating more income and the young players we have now develope into better players either pushing us further up the leagues or sold on for big money then and only then could we compete.
Unfortunately we don't live in a football manager/fifa 2022 World where you just pick the top players off the shelf when ever you want but if you'd like that environment I suggest you support one of the "big" clubs.

Better contracts for the good young players we have would be a start. The better players we have are only loaned and can be recalled at anytime. We won't have the privilege of selling those for big fees unfortunately to generate an income.
After supporting Blackpool for 40+ years I know how budgets and big clubs work . Nobody in my world thinks we can compete with the big boys financial power .

But what about the Burnley, Bristol City, Swansea, Reading and QPR games..? Did we look a level lower then? No.

And we signed Poveda the other day who plays on the right... 🤔

Appy will make a right good go of this. The last 2 games we haven't even been playing his formation... it's been back to 4-4-2wat it to Madine stagnant Critchball ** bull-wank.

Keep the faith, we'll be alright.

So what are you moaning about 🤦🏻‍♂️

I'm a disliker of Appleton. He is clueless. The squad is league 1. Simple equation miserable bastard or not.
And yet it finished third in L1 and was promoted. And yet the squad has been further improved and easily avoided relegation last year. That makes us a L1 squad? Would I rather Josh had stayed? Yes of course. But to say we are doomed or nailed on is nonsense. This season won't be easy but no one said it would.

Mid table at best! Mid table is a good season. Why do you think we should be higher than Mid table when we have one of the smallest budgets and are probably in the bottom 6 for size of crowds?
This season is somewhere between transitional and consolidation. New manager with new ideas who wants to play progressive football.
It's going to be a battle all season to make sure we stay out.of the bottom 3 but some people seem to be giving up to quickly. There is also the chance that with some better luck with injuries and if these new young lads all click it might all be quite comfortable.

Observations and opinions not moaning.
Think you need to read other people's replies to this thread .... That's moaning!!

Dont agree that we're nailed on, for me we'll pick up enough points from now till Christmas but a decent January window will be crucial to keep things going.

Mid table is a very good season , that's why I said at best , MA has got a proper job on his hands .

Might we be relegated - yes. Might we have a good season - yes. Watch the season unfold and see how our new signings get on before throwing the towel in. Wright, Patino, Poveda, Corbeanu....I want to watch these lads develop and see if we can test this division.

And yet against Burnley the lack of gulf in class was also an eye opener as most predicted us to get tonked in that game .
7 games in you can't really second guess an entire season

Morning all! Having slept on it I still think we are doomed! Does my opinion bother you? Tough shit. If you're too stupid not to see by the squad strength and managers ability that we are relegation fodder then there's no hope for you. Let me explain for those that insult..
No strength in the spine.
No leader.
No goalpoacher.
Crap tactics.
Too many loanees.

!

At this point last season Forest fans were saying the same. Rock bottom, they couldn't buy a win. They relied on loan players more than us. What do you know? it all clicked and they're in the EPL.

1- Grimmy, Marv,Connolly,Madine,Yates

2- Connolly

3-Yates,Corbeanu, Lavery when/if his form returns, Beesley when fit could do a job

4- Appleton an upgrade and better tactician than Critchley , but with nearly our whole midfield out injured ATM what is he supposed to do ?

5- yes too many loanees ,but it is what it is. Forest did ok last season with half a team of loanees,

When a few players are back from injury we will piss staying up

Section removed, language.

Then he types this shit. Has this guy been watching any of the games, or is he actually spending his saturday afternoons at deepdale.

Madine, Yates, Lavery clearly league 1 standard. Lavery particularly struggling.
Connolly not great, hence the goals flying in.
Appleton an upgrade............for the love of god is this for real.

Loanees are an unknown, and yes, Forest did do it with loans.

Don't start throwing stones and then embarrass yourself with such nonsense.

The Nobbers are out in force on this thread. AVFTT love them because they increase the number of posts which make the site more attractive to advertisers. We should just ignore the fuckers.
