Teams are playing, were not. Let's wait and see when the games in hand sort themselves out.Seems a far cry from knocking on the door of the Top 6 a few weeks ago.
We must have as the past 4 league games have been away followed by yet another away at Wigan before after 6 weeks of waiting we are at home to Burton before being away again at Ipswich. So that’s 6 out the last 7.We have a lot of home games left to play
Nah they’re gash. We only drew away at them last weekend and it triggered a flurry of criticism for the manager and the team. That Hull are good team aren’t they? Unless Accy are rubbish
Impatience waiting for a win I suppose. A point away from home is all good and well when we are picking up 3 points elsewhere but we have just been beat by Shrewsbury and Bristol Rovers so it feels neither here nor there but I agree on the face of it, it was a good pointNah they’re gash. We only drew away at them last weekend and it triggered a flurry of criticism for the manager and the team.
I know I’m not supposed to criticise the critics though as that makes me TTS
2 defeats and 1 draw in the last 3 league games doesn't make me optimistic about our chances. We don't score enough goals to win sufficient games. Not given up on top 6 this season yet.
We were a form team before the recent postponements.
Only takes a few back-to-back wins to fly up this poor league.
Yep. And we aren’t ready to go up anyway even if by some miracle we won enough games to do so. For me the season is pretty much over and we need to get our house properly in order by binning off 433 and getting players in to play a proper midfield four.I think realistically with our poor start and ever growing injury list we aren't going to trouble the top six this season. Not being negative, but I think we have to be honest about our chances. I'd like us to see one or two new permanent signings before the window closes, who can improve us and get the time in the next few months to bed into the team and squad so that we really can hit the ground running next season. There is no excuse this summer to not be ready from the off, we have a good squad and it shouldn't need a big overhaul as we've seen so often in recent summers.
We'll almost certainly slip further down after this Saturday but we'll have another game in hand.Seems a far cry from knocking on the door of the Top 6 a few weeks ago.
Played 9 home league games out of 21. Under normal circumstances you’d expect that would be a huge advantage, but with no crowds the impact is lessened. StIll, there must still be an advantage playing in familiar surroundings.
I think the team below us is 4 points below so we will not dropWe'll almost certainly slip further down after this Saturday but we'll have another game in hand.
That opening para is not true though is it. Unless other teams are not allowed to win their games in hand.Just to give this some context, we're two points off the playoffs if we win the games in hand, home to Rochdale and Northampton. We're also two games short of the half way point of the season.
For those bleating about the Cods, they're a point above us but we have a game in hand.
Far too soon to write off the season. No doubt there will be further anguish on Saturday as some play League games while we progress in the FA Cup.
Not halfway through the season. Way too soon to predict anything yet.
I'm looking at the team in 6th. I'm not working some massive algorithm to calculate all results. That opening para is not true though is it. Unless other teams are not allowed to win their games in hand.
Thank you for putting me straight! I really should look at the table more closely! 1mind you,I´d still rather have the points than games in hand.UTP!I think the team below us is 4 points below so we will not drop
Points on the board is preferable to games in hand, especially when there's little time between games and the squad is decimated by injuries, suspensions, departures and is short of goals. We'll almost certainly slip further down after this Saturday but we'll have another game in hand.
The frustrating thing for me is that we have been playing catch-up all season due to our poor start!!Seems a far cry from knocking on the door of the Top 6 a few weeks ago.
It's not ludicrous to see the team in 6th having played 2 more games than us and us being 8 points behind them. Obviously there are other teams in between but that's not the point.Nothing to do with algorithms at all.
You are discounting other teams having games in hand. It's ludicrous to say we have games in hand and to ignore the fact that most other teams do as well. It was you who made the point about looking at the table when we'd all played the same number of games. So you can't ignore the fact other teams have games in hand just because it suits your point to do so.
You're twistng things again. You seem to think that the two games you mention are a given six points. And of course the fact that most of the other teams have played less than 23 games is a very relevant point. Read what you said. You said if we win the games at home to Rochdale and Northampton we'll be two points off the play offs. There's quite a lot of games to be played by all teams before we get round to playing those two re-arranged games. It's not ludicrous to see the team in 6th having played 2 more games than us and us being 8 points behind them. Obviously there are other teams in between but that's not the point.
If you're that bothered, work it all out and tell me where we'll finish. You seem to be all knowing.

Which are?"For those bleating about the Cods"
Who exactly is bleating about the Cods Wiz ?
I can't remember when they last won a game.
Those who don't care about the Cods seem to spend a lot of time talking about them, I'd suggest that the main reason the Cods are discussed and referred too so much is because of their magnificent achievements ?
I've not said that. I've said win thise games and we're two points off the team who are 6th. A simple statement of fact. Obviously we might not win them, but if we have promotion ambitions, then games at home against Rochdale and Northampton are games we should be looking to win. You're twistng things again. The only way to judge is by when teams have played the same number of games. It's not just about us catching up with fixtures it's about all clubs doing that. That's the only way to judge our true position. That's not being "all knowing" it's stating the obvious.
Which is no oneWhich are?
And the bleaters are those delighted they're still above us, for clarity.
But it's not a statement of fact is it? Because when we get round to playing those two games you've no idea what the table will look like at that point in time..I've not said that. I've said win thise games and we're two points off the team who are 6th. A simple statement of fact.
