Really don't get that kind of response.I think from 20th May till 30th June is long enough time .
Monthly paid will have 2 paydays in the window. I'm not sure of your point?Really don't get that kind of response.
Why wouldn't anyone want us to get as many ST sales as possible.
Having it definitely include 2 paydays in this climate would be really helpful.
Don't get how some people are against ideas that help more fans afford a ST...
Understand where you're coming from but they are made too easily available to people whose lack of financial self-control gets them into trouble.Anyway, this is what credit cards were invented for. Everybody should have a credit card and know how to use it to their benefit - it's one of the essentials of modern living.
How do you work that out?Monthly paid will have 2 paydays in the window. I'm not sure of your point?
Right, so just because some might save half the cash and then have the rest in the next month, they shouldn't get a ST....I'm not sure anybody who requires two paychecks to get a season ticket should really be buying one. Football spending should be out of disposable income and, if you're not in that position atm, then maybe it's not for you.
Anyway, this is what credit cards were invented for. Everybody should have a credit card and know how to use it to their benefit - it's one of the essentials of modern living.
What about those who get paid on the 15th? They've only oneHow do you work that out?
Some get paid before the end, at the end, or at the start of a month.
If your paid on the 1st or 2nd you've only had 1 payday.
I think most are at the end or start. What about those who get paid on the 15th? They've only one
I know, I was just having a bit of fun with you. Also if you get paid on the 30th, you may only be able to buy that day and maybe the money isn't in just at the time you can buy. Maybe you simply can't buy that day. Maybe there's a big rush so no telephone answer. All sorts of reasons to delay a couple of days, even if they gave people the chance to email the intent to buy before the Friday.I think most are at the end or start.
I just find it fascinating when people post something that might help people, the avftt community comes up with many ways why we shouldn't do it, often because they are OK.
Its amazing.
Bizarre attitude, its a expensive time, why not give some that extra couple of days? Can't see it making a blind bit of difference extending it by a day or two as others have said if your overly reliant on that end of month wage a ST may not be for you.
If you get credit you don't get any discount anyway.
I think your making a problem that ain't there everyone I know gets paid no later than the last day of the month which is er 30th June day after is 1st July.Bizarre attitude, its a expensive time, why not give some that extra couple of days?
The..... if you pay for a ST with 2 paydays you probably shouldn't get one is the maddest thing I've heard on here.
So if someone has about 200 quid dearer cash available in 1 month and wants to get a st ticket, but would have to have 2 months they shouldn't get one? Why not?
They might miss out and end up not bothering or on tickets attanding less games.
Football is all some have to look forward to, making its easier for all types of situations to buy is what a good club should do.
The overwhelming majority of monthly paid people are paid on the last working day of the month. How do you work that out?
Some get paid before the end, at the end, or at the start of a month.
If your paid on the 1st or 2nd you've only had 1 payday.
Meaning it's a mad scramble if there are any waiting until June 30th.The overwhelming majority of monthly paid people are paid on the last working day of the month.
I've been paid before at places start of the month.I think your making a problem that ain't there everyone I know gets paid no later than the last day of the month which is er 30th June day after is 1st July.
Good point, didn't notice that. But not sure what you're on about.....I'm confused, is the deadline 30th June? or the dealine?
I think you'd be surprised, its the poorest area in England and prices have gone through the roof for everything.@JJpool fair play for being a man of the people and you do have a point but it doesn’t seem like something worth having a pop at people for.
Not sure our fanbase is as destitute as you sometimes imply.
Yep so thats not too different to someone saving over a few months, just might be the last month for some is end of June start of July payday. We save a certain amount each month for holidays etc so when season tickets become available we’ve already managed to save up over the 12 months to buy them
ExactlyIsn't the end of early bird also when seats not bought become available? The club then has only a month to sell them before the season starts.
I don’t see how that'll be massively affected by a day or 2 extension to push it beyond payday for many people, give us a better chance of more sales.Isn't the end of early bird also when seats not bought become available? The club then has only a month to sell them before the season starts.
Yeah there's actually little reason to create a window. Yes for reserving seats but not for people buying until after a random date.Unless you're a club which is in a severe financial mess and desperately need that season ticket money, for me, early bird should actually last right up until the first game.
Have you ever thought of budgeting rather than hand to mouth?Really don't get that kind of response.
Why wouldn't anyone want us to get as many ST sales as possible.

You don't need to tell me, this is not about me.Have you ever thought of budgeting rather than hand to mouth?
I understand that times are hard but I always stand by what my Nan told me over 40 years ago.
Never spend what you haven't got in your pocket. Meaning only pay for what you can afford , prioritise what you're paying for and stick by those guidelines.
I cannot understand why people have to get themselves into debt just by wanting things right now. If you know you want a season ticket put £20/ month away when it comes to renewal day you're looking for £130 to renew rather than the £369 for a ticket straight off.
I know that this will grate on some people
Yeah my Nan was the same she saved in tins for Gas electric etc even had one for bingo .Have you ever thought of budgeting rather than hand to mouth?

You try to be helpful and get panned for it....only on AVFTT.Bizarre attitude, its a expensive time, why not give some that extra couple of days?
The..... if you pay for a ST with 2 paydays you probably shouldn't get one is the maddest thing I've heard on here.
So if someone has about 200 quid spare cash available in 1 month and wants to get a st ticket, but would have to have 2 months they shouldn't get one? Why not?
They might miss out and end up not bothering or on tickets attanding less games.
Football is all some have to look forward to, making its easier for all types of situations to buy is what a good club should do.
On its BirdayWhen does an early bird become a late bird
It's a sad state of affairs that if people cannot afford £369 for a season ticket then they shouldn't be going. You don't need to tell me, this is not about me.
Its about supporting as many situations as possible.
Maybe its only 100 more people who are able to then afford a ST before the price goes up.
What's the harm?
Have people even considered people will have been saving what they can afford, but given all the price increases an extra month is now needed and will benefit some.
Me to couldn't do early 00's because of newish mortgage, house improvements and wife working Saturdays also had child care. It's a sad state of affairs that if people cannot afford £369 for a season ticket then they shouldn't be going.
It's expendable income and I was in that situation in the mid 90's with a young family the choices were going to the pub, match or looking after my family.
Guess which one I took ?
Yeh, I went to the odd match in those years but couldn't do the home and away days that I'd enjoyed in the 80's
I suppose some have different priorities in life
Yep, an expected response might be yeah don't see any issue with that, a couple of days is no issue and if it helps even a small number get ST'S then its positive. You try to be helpful and get panned for it....only on AVFTT.
And if they don't are you going to say missed opportunity and slate them.Yep, an expected response might be yeah don't see any issue with that, a couple of days is no issue and if it helps even a small number get ST'S then its positive.
Instead you get people keen to tell you all the different ways it won't work, how it makes no difference to them etc.
Yet you can guarantee if the club did this without this thread, people will be praising them and saying what a down to earth club etc.
People can afford more in a lump sum the more paydays there are. It's a sad state of affairs that if people cannot afford £369 for a season ticket then they shouldn't be going.

Works both ways.
There isn't one. It's a great idea and I hope Steve responds to and takes it forward and more relevantly, one I hope the club (some members of which are extremely well remunerated for their admin/management roles in comparison to the average person) sees for what it is - A simple, almost zero cost way to make the pricing as attractive as possible.People can afford more in a lump sum the more paydays there are.
It doesn't mean they shouldn't be buying a ST.
If the dealine was 2 days later and another 100 people could now afford it, with their disposable income now higher than it is after just 1 payday, then what's the issue?
