The East Stand?A week before the season ticket announcement
Well that's going to be gospel in the next 24 hoursI understand there will be significant developments at some point during this summer.
I also wouldn't be surprised (and haven't been told or read anything) if the club decide to close the current East Stand next season.
But the club does have fan power though. Look what we achieved when we United against you know who. At the moment our situation is not the same. So there’s no need for a boycott en masse. The East Stand?
Fans should make their own stand.
A petition from season ticket holders who refuse to renew unless Critchley goes.
Without fan power the club faces no pressure to change for promotion.
That’s the way Really hope they give us that stand as well and give the away fans the South.Don’t see the point of expanding the East anyway as we rarely give the opposing teams much allocation.
The last thing we want is 6k+ away fans making more noise than our contingent and our home form suffering.
Well said, miles better atmosphere too.The extra revenue over the season might buy us that decent striker we need though.
Tbh I've never got the issue with giving the whole east if away fans wanted it to generate extra revenue. If professional footballers are too wet to perform because the opposition have more than 1000 fans in the ground then we are in more trouble with our players than even I thought.
A lot of games in the championship first season, aways had the full east, it made the atmosphere miles better, we still out sang them and first season won a lot anyway cos our team was decent.
It's only last season when our players/fans started having a problem with it cos our team wasn't performing.
Thing is, we are not fully in control of the timescale as Council have to do compulsory purchasesToo late to start building it once we’ve been promoted so might as well get on with it sooner rather than later, and doubt the cost of it is going down if we leave it another 12 months.
Mrs Jones has always been awkward.. and as for number 32.. they popped my ball …..The club can’t exactly give updates all the time. Be unprofessional to come out and say ‘Mrs Jones and number 32 is playing hardball’.
Until they acquire all the houses. Do whatever needs doing after that, they can’t say much. Hopefully all that can be sorted soon but if not at worst by end of next season.
2 years minimum till it’s built but more likely 3?
You have to hand it to KO. To get the temp stand sorted from mid May and opened end of August was decent going.how many weeks did it take to build the temp stand? From memory the seats took longer to put in than the metal structures and foundations. If season ticket numbers are down next year and crowds lower it probably would be a good time to close and remove it. If there is a serious intent to replace.
I can see the old siege of henry st not to far away. How hard is it for the club to actually give an update ,just a one liner every now and again ,even just to say the people on Henry St are playing hard ball .
Won't work that way as it will increase costs by quite a bit. When it does come down and we build the new stand hopefully they could do it in stages to minimise impact on lost seats.
So you'd try arrange something like...
Play your last game away and start early on the stand, also have your first game away on yhe next season.
Knock just over half of the east down on the north side and begin building that side, not sure it would all be complete by the new season but should be able to have a lot of the structure in place.
Complete that and then start the other side, either straight away or again at season end.
That's if it's possible to keep part of that current east open and up with only half or less still there.
If they could do something like that it would minimise the loss of seats.
Yeah…amazing what the prospect of missing out on millions due to not being ready for the Prem Moneymen can do for productivityYou have to hand it to KO. To get the temp stand sorted from mid May and opened end of August was decent going.
Obviously I'm taking this in isolation and not talking about what should have happened before.
Remember that scoreboard in the corner they had initially that covered about 500 seatsYou have to hand it to KO. To get the temp stand sorted from mid May and opened end of August was decent going.
Obviously I'm taking this in isolation and not talking about what should have happened before.
So he thought we'll take it right to the wire, get Barnsley to draw, Lincoln to lose and then throw it after a great start...I think that SS probably didn’t want us promoted this season because the east stand project might well start next season. He wouldn’t want to be in the championship with reduced capacity.
Agree. It's all a bit cloak and dagger. How hard is it for the club to actually give an update ,just a one liner every now and again ,even just to say the people on Henry St are playing hard ball .
Well I guess it depends if whether limiting capacity has an impact or would harm the fanbase long term by missing out.Won't work that way as it will increase costs by quite a bit.
He made Joseph miss that chance and also heavily influenced Husband to go to sleep for Readings equaliser. So he thought we'll take it right to the wire, get Barnsley to draw, Lincoln to lose and then throw it after a great start...
This might be an indication, as this process happened after the purchasing of Henry street I think.Any further update on the purchase of Henry Street properties by the Council and the design of the stand and planning application by the Club?
Oh dear I see that constipated turd is back on here….two words and the last one is “ off”The East Stand?

Safe sleepingI've heard they are ripping out seats and putting in beds... so we can sleep during the boring critch tip tap backwards football..
The driver will be costs. SS said as much when talking about the TG and the BR developments and how costs had increased, so I can't see him sanctioning additional costs by splitting construction up.Well I guess it depends if whether limiting capacity has an impact or would harm the fanbase long term by missing out.
You only have to give away fans 10% so given the reduced capacity, they could just give the SE corner and block X which would be aprox a bit over 1k,which would then be about right.
That would still leave a bit under 10k after segregation for home fans in the 3 sides, excluding hospitality. I suppose if demand... demanded it, you could house additional people in some hospitality areas or even any free hotel seats in the South if we really wanted.
Why would they do that? Wonder if that's why there is no ST news as seats might not be available in sections of the South?I also wouldn't be surprised (and haven't been told or read anything) if the club decide to close the current East Stand next season.
You Don’t Have the first idea about “Fan Power” you “F£cking P£pick !!!!The East Stand?

I ranked among the first who proposed boycotts against Oyscum asset strippers. You Don’t Have the first idea about “Fan Power” you “F£cking P£pick !!!!
I’m sure he did want us promoted with all the extra millions he would of got from TV revenue alone!I think that SS probably didn’t want us promoted this season because the east stand project might well start next season. He wouldn’t want to be in the championship with reduced capacity.
