Anyone who was John Major's Rumpy Pumpy should be demonisedBack in the day she was demonised for suggesting pensioners put on a hat and cardigan to save on heating.
Looking at the Government's advice on the cost of fuel crisis, it's now official policy.
Different times.
We didn't know that until much later.Anyone who was John Major's Rumpy Pumpy should be demonised
Westminister and Whitehall will be packed to rafters with leeches using the heating to keep warm so they can keep costs down on their London pads.I think it’s going to apply to all of us this winter, not just pensioners
If its a cold winter, you can imagine plenty going into work rather than working from home.Westminister and Whitehall will be packed to rafters with leeches using the heating to keep warm so they can keep costs down on their London pads.
How many actually live in their constituency?
I think the idea is that We switch off and thus avoid rationing becoming necessary, thus ensuring that Sunak won’t need to do without his heated swimming poolBack in the day she was demonised for suggesting pensioners put on a hat and cardigan to save on heating.

Don’t you worry lad, you’ve done ok from a tory governmentBack in the day she was demonised for suggesting pensioners put on a hat and cardigan to save on heating.

Did you s..currie off?Edwina Curry used to lurk outside MK shopping centre and leap out to surprise unsuspecting workers on their way to buy a lunchtime sandwich. I speak from experience and it took me some time to recover.
No. I swerved around the Nouveau Abstract statue outside the shopping centre and managed to avoid her. It was a close run thing though.Did you s..currie off?
They're, There, TheirBack then it were all student flats with pound meters tha knows....kids today don't know their born etc etc...

Except that extra cash will also be needed to pay to see our GPs - those that are still working in the NHS.Electric blankets were a penny an hour to run I believe, obviously that maybe about 3p and hour now. Could be a wise investment for the winter months

Very generous Russian backers. I'm sure the trickledown effect will reach us any time now. After 10 years of austerity i's appalling that the country is sleep walking into this disaster but its a damn sight better than being run by the frogs via the EU, woke lefties and the champagne socialist fat cat union barons. I'll gladly light a single candle and huddle in my sleeping bag in the living room to show that lot of traitors. Long live the tory Party and their Russian backers.
We were using these last winter, and they were pretty good.Apparently you can get a throw, or something similar, that works like an electric blanket to go on your sofa.
No need to heat the entire house.
Just get everyone seated in a row on that.
Might still need hats though?
Said, or reportedly said should I say, when the big dog was trying to oppose another harmful Covidian lockdown.Let the bodies pile high
I doubt she did either. We didn't know that until much later.

Will sell out this year I expect.
Yes ,but petrol and transport costs have gone up.If its a cold winter, you can imagine plenty going into work rather than working from home.
Heating on all day will be more than that in most cases, but true enough.Yes ,but petrol and transport costs have gone up.
Yeah I bet the local libraries will be busy or going into the spoons drinking coffee all day for £1.25,even seen people take their own mugs and sandwiches inIf its a cold winter, you can imagine plenty going into work rather than working from home.
Don't be silly.Don’t you worry lad, you’ve done ok from a tory government

Since that post came up I've been trying to think of a context in which it was a good thing, and am still at a loss.Ah he said let the bodies of the dead pile high in a good way. Got it
Correct, although I think he bottled it on that occasion (again) costing even more lives. Shame. Succumbed to the immense pressure of a shit-tonne of virtue signalling arseholes and know-better types who would later turn on him anyway for doing exactly what they wantedAh he said let the bodies of the dead pile high in a good way. Got it
Something like thisWhat are they called and where can you get them neil?
They won’t be doing that in the palace of westminster, for the simple reason the taxpayer pays their energy bills. They are allowed to claim on expenses.Westminister and Whitehall will be packed to rafters with leeches using the heating to keep warm so they can keep costs down on their London pads.

You must have been rich 20s, in the early 60s we didn’t have heating to turn up,just a coal fire.Far as I can remember and that's going back to the early sixties it's always been a case of putting extra clothing on in winter to save turning the heating up. That's nothing new really although these energy companies need to be called to account for their massive hike in prices and massive profits they are making. The British public are being ripped off.
just a two bar electric fire in the living room. That's it.You must have been rich 20s, in the early 60s we didn’t have heating to turn up,just a coal fire.
I said you must have been rich, electric fire indeed. Hmmmm.just a two bar electric fire in the living room. That's it.
