EFL trophy group fixtures???

The home game with Liverpool 21s might be decent / slightly entertaining.

Agree, not fussed about the other two games.

Dates are 5th September, 10th October and 14th November for anyone that's interested.

Liverpool U21’s – TBC – Bloomfield Road

Over recent years I've become more of the view that the EFL Trophy and Carabao Cup matches are very useful for looking at fringe players. The longer we can stay in these competitions the more worthwhile this facility becomes.
 
Argyle took the competition semi seriously (apart from the dicking at Wembley !) for once last season & made the best part of £1M from the competition.
That was helped though by playing Bolton & not Stanley in the final resulting in an attendance of over 79,000. If you get lucky it can be a nice little earner.
 
So it’s a home game and an away game but not over 2 legs, then a game against some kids?!?! Don’t understand why it’s not just a straight knockout from round 1 like every other cup competition. I only find this competition interesting when it gets to the last 8 with a chance of going to a final.

Bit of a shambles that an EFL competition could potentially be won by a Premier League club.
