Embarrassed by our fans

As long as the idiots aren’t lobbing bottles on the pitch or coins at the opposition , in other words behaving , I think we have the best fans in the land . This was a poor day at the office for everyone but let’s keep things in perspective.
We now have a great owner , great manager , great prospects for the future, we have had a great season , we have the greatest fans , a team who’s performances improve season on season, An unbelievable amount of good stuff going on at the club re new training ground , new stand , work in the community etc etc . People throwing stuff and acting like idiots would be very embarrassing , but embarrassed by fans leaving early because we have been well beaten on a day when nothing went right, give over !

I always stay pretty much (I left a bit early from Luton cos it was about minus 10) but for the last 134 years of professional football, people have also left early. It is what it is and it always will be. People go to see the competition and once that's gone, it's a bit hollow really. Happens at every club in the universe.

But but but we were on Sky TV and it didn’t look very good… it’s such a mad thing to be arsed about.

Neither did our left side 🤣 but people more arsed what fans are doing.

Embarrassed by the fans? I was more embarrassed by the 11 players out on the pitch and the clueless manager. 3-0 down at home and his first sub is to bring Connolly on.
You really are a 🔔 I'm guessing you had been on the beer looking at the time you posted that, I would hope you had excess alcohol as an excuse for it.

Don't start on Jimmy you...

Nah, I have no idea why we give a fuck what people think on telly. None. Couldn't give a fuck that we were on telly. Not one.

Stewart had been booked. It was a sensible sub irrespective of how well Connelly did.

I'd have given Stewart the MotM award by the way.

No starting here 😉 it wasn’t so much Husband more what was infront of him that meant he had no cover and nobody to pass the ball too as he doesn’t want the ball to his feet and doesn’t make very good runs which in turn exposed him.

Their right side is high-end quality for the Championship tbf.

I always go for the duration. 3-0 down at Wrexham, loads left and missed an amazing comeback to win it 4-3.

Only once, have I purposely left a game early, and that was at the start of the boycott when we played Millwall, my last game at Bloomfield Road (Huddersfield demonstration apart) until the Homecoming.

People using this site to mainline virtue straight into their eyeballs. It really is a disgusting habit and, as we all know, virtue signalling takes absolutely no ** effort on the virtue signaller's part. They were doing exactly what they were going to do anyway.

I'm not sure he's going to be fit for PNE.

Thank you very much, I'm here all week.

Ffs.

I left early because we were getting battered and I wasn’t enjoying it and I thought I could catch a tram before the crowd. Sorry to embarrass, actually I couldn’t care less what anyone else thinks
I chose to stay till the end of the game but for those who left early it doesn't bother me as it's their choice and theirs alone,so when you say that you couldn't care less i totally agree with you.

I was more embarrassed that some in the west booed us off at H/T.
We have had very few bad halves like that under Critch and I am sure there will be others in the future.
There are a lot of players and some staff on a very sharp learning curve in this division.
Shit happens🧐😵
I think they were actually booing the ref for failing to pick up on the man handing of Gaz particularly in their box ,that’s what we were doing from the South.
Despite the result as I have already said the team and individual players didn’t hide away as can happen especially when mistakes are being made.
Forrest deserved their win and looked a threat when on the attack for the whole game and unfortunately for us they made the most of their good fortune when it arose and we didn’t.It happens.

As for leaving the ground early i would only criticise those like on another post who clearly left even before the second half had started. The vast majority stuck it out until that 4th went in which I won’t criticise and one thing unless my hearing is going there were no boos just an acceptance the game was well and truly over.
I stayed until the end so at least was rewarded with a goal and also to enjoy Forrest having a fifth disallowed after celebrating.

I was there at Wrexham too with my brother.. night game I think..

I'm pretty sure you'll find that most fans will bail out early when their team is 4-0 down, ours are no different, you pay your money, you make your choices.

For the record it is common knowledge that our fans are loudest and proudest in this division, but the reality is our team is not anywhere near the best in the division, I feared we'd get done yesterday by a Forest team that is on fire and I wasn't surprised one little bit they'd prove too strong for us.

I'm just delighted that we've had a great season in our first one back in the Championship and took some notable scalps on our way, time to evaluate where we are and where we need to be to take the step and challenge for the top six, we all know the current squad is not good enough to, nevertheless I'm delighted at how far we've come in a short period of time.

Hear hear 👏👏👏

The expectinacy level our fans is often embarrassing not those who pissed off after a 4 goal drubbing.

All clubs don’t do it. We’re so immune to it now that very few leave early. I think we’re just worn down by it.
Well thats not true, 1st game of the season you got beat 4-1 by Hull, a lot of your fans were off on the third goal and you were only 2 behind, we were 4-0 down at the point people go. It's the only kind of comparable defeat this season to go off.

N and E not that visible just after second goal...middle block largely full

P much more visible. Lots more gaps.

It was even emptier by the end.

So let's not pretend that going 4-0 down on on 82 minutes wouldn't have seen people leave when it did at a much closer score line.

The atmosphere wasn’t the same yesterday from pre-kick off, perhaps because of the early start and fans late into the ground. However, it got going and it’s natural that it died again with the mistakes. If fans want to leave early, for whatever reason, then that’s their call. As has been said, it happens at every ground.

There is a clown fan, stands at the back of the South in front of the Heineken experience room, what a knob and not for the first time. Never stops moaning. As soon as we went 1-0 down he was shouting lazy bast**d at our players, including Jerry who was trying to chase down everything. I’d rather he left early or better still, didn’t bother. What’s the point in turning up with the attitude you are going to give players stick.

For all our self praising, we have always fucked off early especially if losing… it is is a bit embarrassing all the ‘big North should always get priority for tickets’ talk, it empties like fuck when we lose at 80 minutes. It happened in the Prem season too and it’s ** embarrassing,
The majority of westies stay to the bitter end

I stayed to the end, but could not bring myself to clap the players off. On the day they simply did not deserve it. If they wish to take the plaudits when it goes well, they have to accept the consequences of a very bad collective off day.

Very disappointing support, from the North especially. Virtually stopped supporting the team after 20 minutes at the most.

Left after the 3rd went in and watched 2nd half with a pint in pub. Feel better that way as the shitshow isn’t in your face as much.
How others judge me as a fan means absolutely nothing to me.

Jeez….thought for one moment you meant me…but then I read the rest of your post.phew😉😉😉
…anyway I always prefer to sit at my age so not sure why I had that impression the 🤡🤡might be me😁

but if the Heineken experience is where I think it is then it is close by and there is a father and son combo who we ( not me alone) have had a run in a few times for their pathetic comments.

We've had many great days and atmospheres, that wasn't one of them. Didn't help the way we looked clueless and gifting goals and aren't ever really known as a high scoring team capable of comebacks.

But I sit in E and get involved with all chants, even when losing yesterday.

But they get started mainly from b block area. Looks like they weren't at it.

There was some encouragement second half but as time went on it faded.

I think rather than blindly singing at 3 and 4 nil down, there had been a more hopeful expectation raised that we might do something. Rather than just happy to be here type atmosphere no matter any score, so people a bit deflated at that chance ending I guess. Although support is still there when losing and in the game.

It was one hell of an off day for some players so a bit of an off day for the north is fair given the way the game was over. When the game was even we actually silenced forest with our allez chant but soon went downhill after the scored in quick succession. I expected a bit more though.

Is that the famous H block or whatever.

i’ve no problem at all with people leaving early for the exact same reasons as stated throughout the thread.

My main gripe is those that semi fuck off i. e. storm down to the front and then hover around blocking the views of the disabled lads and lasses. I’m fortunate as able bodied but feel for the disabled ones tbf.

Well I’ve rewatched the first half today and you can still here the North at 3-0 so not having that.

All the support in the North had left at half time , not to return and do what is all Blackpool FC

Name me a football club, with that performance, that would still have people in the stands?
Easily the worst we've had this season.

We cannot play like that tomorrow.
