The OP was embarrassed....and I've forgotten what the OP was about.

The OP was embarrassed
Its not that embarrassing to be honestOh aye!...well anyway I agree it WAS embarrassing to see Sadler and Bowler getting some abuse and to see sections of the crowd resort to booing the team at this stage of the season.
The thing is that different people react in different ways. Its not that embarrassing to be honest
Football fans are generally a bit thick so I tend to take thinks with a pinch of salt

I must admit I really don’t like booing at all.I thought the booing bit was to be honest.
There have been plenty of gutless performances over the years with no endeavour and just going through the motions but Saturday was not one of them.
both are important but I go to watch the team play games, I don't go to watch them train. Same as millions of other fans.I don't want to be watching us in L1 or even L2 but saying "hey, we've got a 40 million quid training ground" or whatever it costs. It took us 29 years to get up from the lower leagues last time around and I'd say it's pretty nailed on that the further down the leagues we are then there won't be as much money to put aside for the training ground. Staying in the Championship is vital. No chance, training ground all day long, build from the bottom up, infrastructure is key

Really is like Fraggle Rock on here at times. How long did that take to imagine, write and edit?Who more than likely isn't married, lives with his mum and refers to his two dogs as his children.
Ooh that all sounds awfully corporate if you don’t mind me saying…Really is like Fraggle Rock on here at times. How long did that take to imagine, write and edit?
There's two sides to the investment argument. We do need better training facilities and the east side needs development on line with the broader regeneration of that side of the stadium. Do we need the new training ground with all those pitches? Maybe not, I dont know.
But I agree with 20s also. What happens on the pitch over the next few years is the main interest of the fans. The club has to try to balance it all and Sadler is trying to do that obviously. He's done well so far with Critchley, but we are treading a fine line with out budget. Maybe the manner of financing the capital stuff is very different and longer term and can't be applied to the playing side, I dont know. Difficult to comment on this one really.
We did agree loan terms for Simms, and we've capitalised on Appleton's famous loan prowess. Improved and extended the terms of Grimmy and Marv. Not lost any key players. If Appleton does as well as Critch we will be fine. Its a crazy division financially though. Teams promoted from L1 are at a massive disadvantage. A lot of players at other clubs are on 15 - 40k a week. I believe. You have to be realistic.
The bulk of the investment is for the East Stand.Yep bang on
Championship football is where the club needs to be and I honestly dont see the need for a 40 million quid investment
Yes we need a better training ground but 40 million that will put the club into debt doesn’t make sense to me
BFC x 3. Voyeur is a good act but he's on to longOoh that all sounds awfully corporate if you don’t mind me saying…
And a particularly lengthy essay too…
But of course, I’m reminded again and again
That it’s one rule for me
And another for you
He’s already been funding the playing side. I think he probably meant that he can’t afford to buy our way out of the Championship and compete with the ridiculous levels of spending. So if we don't spend the 40 million on infrastructure some want the debt being for players then?
No owner pumps money in without the majority being loans to the club you only have to look up the road to see that the Cods are 18 million in debt.
Sadler has already said he's not prepared to fund the playing side but will continue to put in 6 figures year on year and loan for new developments.
So even if he stopped the projects and threw more money in we're still left with a stand for safety will have to close in coming years and a crap training ground which most non league teams have better.
We have to improve the facilities asap and that costs.
I don't thing I've read one person saying we should be buying our way out of the leagueHe’s already been funding the playing side. I think he probably meant that he can’t afford to buy our way out of the Championship and compete with the ridiculous levels of spending.
You're a boring ** aren't you? Why's that do you think?Ooh that all sounds awfully corporate if you don’t mind me saying…

Do you both know where the windmill is in case this discussion takes, a serious turn?I’ve got your number dickhead… That’s for sure !

I believe the term is fur babies.Who more than likely isn't married, lives with his mum and refers to his two dogs as his children.
SS simply said it as a throw away comment, when explaining about how he intended to run the club moving forward…I don't thing I've read one person saying we should be buying our way out of the league
There is a middle ground, hence why the comparison to Derby from the boards interview was absolute horse shite
It was a poor comment to be honest and was used to dampen down expectationsSS simply said it as a throw away comment, when explaining about how he intended to run the club moving forward…
It wasn’t something he said in response to any perceived pressure from fans… He was just putting across how it was… The Derby comparison is another thing and came much later (and to be honest, Derby is a convenient example, I don’t think SS was suggesting fans expected investment on a Derby scale either)…I think we should cut them a bit more slack than over-analyse every word they say in an interview…He’s basically just saying he can’t afford to go mental with spending and the club has to try and operate within sensible limits. Fair enough really I’d have thought.
I think some people have just misunderstood and assumed that he meant there was no funding whatsoever.
I no say daft shit all the time… So I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt on stuff like that.It was a poor comment to be honest and was used to dampen down expectations
Derby have spent 300 million chasing the dream over multiple seasons nobody in their right mind thinks we should be doing that
Nah he needs to choose his words a bit more carefully if he's doing this sort of jnterview, especially when it read more like a statementI no say daft shit all the time… So I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt on stuff like that.
I get his general point
I don't know whether I should be asking you two to consider kissing and making up or just to keep on because as at least it means I'm not arguing with either of you.
