I think it says that nothing is happening now because it's too soon, it will happen later in the window. If at all.I think it is telling that there have been no rumours that we have even gone in for him. Perhaps we are looking elsewhere or have other priorities?
Embleton would be great to have in the squad, it just depends on how Sunderland valuate him, I can see them attempting to rinse us a bit for him. Carey is a Right Mid according to trasnfermrkt, it also might be too big of a leap from the National League to the Championship to come in as our creative no.10.Carey and Embleton, perhaps!
I wouldn't go off transfermarkt. It wouldn't be surprising if our attacking midfield options for the season are Anderson, Carey and Embleton. But the Embo thing is up in the air, depends on Sunderland. They are in a tricky situation with him, but they won't lose sleep over it. Selling him to us with a sell on clause might be the best outcome all round.Embleton would be great to have in the squad, it just depends on how Sunderland valuate him, I can see them attempting to rinse us a bit for him. I personally think, to quote the ongoing thread about our signings, the no.10 role should be our "wow singing". I'm not saying break the bank but securing a solid Championship no.10 would be brilliant for us.
I expect he may join their training a couple of weeks later as his season with us finished 2 weeks later than Sunderland's due to the Play Off final. No mention of Embleton here and they have a pre-season game on Saturday and so one to look out for.
What we learned as Sunderland return to pre-season training

Not with you maybe, all opinions, kaikai goals and assists per minutes played much better.Embleton had more influence in the last 8 weeks of the season than kaikai had in the whole time he was here is my opinion.
And please don't tell me KK was played in the wrong position..that wont wash.
That's absolute bollux...Embleton had more influence in the last 8 weeks of the season than kaikai had in the whole time he was here is my opinion.

I think Embo is much the more likely of the two to develop and give us more next season, for sure. KK has had 2 years and not progressed, Embo is younger and just starting out and looked good in the play offs, and just more confident really.Embleton had more influence in the last 8 weeks of the season than kaikai had in the whole time he was here is my opinion.

Can you really judge a player who has just turned 22 and has only appeared 18 times for us? What will he be like in a year or two's time? It's really about what Critch thinks based on what he's seen. Obviously.I'm neither here nor there on Embers. Can't say i saw him as a better player than S-KK if I'm honest, so unless his fee and t&c's are in our favour in terms of a gamble, then I don't really see why we'd go chasing after him with any great purpose. If we did sign him, I'd be hoping he's providing an option to the squad rather being seen as a regular first team starter.
Absolutely. But based on what we’ve seen so far, I’ve made my judgement call. Obviously it carries no relevance to the actual situation. Can you really judge a player who has just turned 22 and has only appeared 18 times for us? What will he be like in a year or two's time? Yates had a lot more games and took about 10 to get going though, and he's older, and came off the back of a full and successful season at Swindon. Embo hasn't had his break through season yet, just a sneak preview.Absolutely. But based on what we’ve seen so far, I’ve made my judgement call. But if I compare Embleton to Yates, i see one player who has more spark and caused more problems to the opposition. So if I’ve got a budget to play with, I’d rather take the ‘gamble’ on spending more on Yates in a higher league, whereas I’d consider Embleton if the cost looks like good ‘value’ in the bigger picture.
Yeah maybe. I just don’t agree. No big deal as our opinion doesn’t matter anywayYates had a lot more games and took about 10 to get going though, and he's older, and came off the back of a full and successful season at Swindon. Embo hasn't had his break through season yet, just a sneak preview.

Who's playing wide left for us at the moment?Does the squad need yet another midfield player?
The squad needs another striker and right full back.
It is but they don't matter!!I thought it was a game of opinions.
I reckon we need 2 RB’s (or 1 RB and 1 RWB), 1 CM (attack minded), 1 LW, and 2 Forwards (1 Quick and Powerful and 1 ideally able to play between midfield and the forward line).Does the squad need yet another midfield player?

Is the pertinent question.Have we actually made any contact with Sunderland about him or with Forest about Gabriel?
I suspect not, because there have been no rumours from Sunderland or ForestIs the pertinent question.
That’s a great idea for a thread- which 2 players would you splice?I think he's a bit different. If Sullay and Matty Virtue were spliced in some kind of bizarre experiment, you'd get Embo.
Agree with the GTF thing. He's also a lot younger than GTF was. There's an unusual player there. Not always effective but sometimes effective in a way that others wouldn't be.
Wonder if they’d loan him again? Not as if we’re in the same league now and keeps him as their asset.I feel like he’s a player who can vastly improve under Critch, he’s definitely capable. If we can get him for a decent price I’d say go for it but I don’t think he’s a player we should break the bank on
Decent enough player & Critch would improve but I would want loan players to be from a Prem club as they should be players that we couldn’t afford but would make a huge difference to our team .Wonder if they’d loan him again? Not as if we’re in the same league now and keeps him as their asset.
