England v Wales

Chris Coleman made the same point last night, but it's pretty obvious when you see him play. Too many blind alleys for the moment. But that can change - as you say - with better players around him.

Voy - DCL has started the season well, but he's a long way off Kane's quality at the moment. Maybe his last couple of England games haven't been great, but there's an element of him coming back to full fitness and sharpness within that. All said and done, he's still comfortably our most important player and offers everything DCL is currently offering plus a huge amount more. Not that he's undroppable of course, but he's still the first name on any England team sheet for me.

Good points all round, but I think Kane is under real pressure from DCL. Kane doesn't exactly excel in the England side, much of the time. His form varies a fair bit, I'd be picking whoever is in form at the time. Competition for places etc.
Of course he doesn't excel. 32 goals in 47 appearances is bloody awful.

Ah, better than i thought! I have just thought he has looked a bit pedestrian and impotent in the games I have watched - I struggle to get motivated on the England front with a lot of the games. He never looks too much of a threat against the strong countries, to me? International is like a huge league with clubs from a wide range of levels included. Like merging Prem, the EFL and the National Leagues!

Flat track bully?

I don't think he's a flat track bully. In reality he's probably hampered by the lack of additional quality around him in England shirts when we play the REALLY good teams.
All opinions of course, but for me he's developed into a genuinely world class striker who can do pretty much everything other than stretch the back 4 with explosive pace like a Mbappe would do.

Wiz. A big part of Raheem's game is drawing fouls. I'd argue it's more important internationally than domestically as international refs let less go than British refs and cagey defending makes it harder to score from open play. Its one of the main reasons we got to the semi's in the last world cup. If we have both Raheem and Grealish winning free kicks in attacking positions we'll do just fine.

Golden Boot winner at the last world cup. Already got 3 PL goals this season and six PL assists. As well as five goals in Europe. Harry Kane is absolute quality and will break Rooneys record injuries permitting. DCL is finally showing potential but he's a long way off Kane at this point in time.

Grealish is quality

Grealish is the most fouled player in the Premier League, and I think it's a consequence of him hanging onto the ball too long and then getting caught. Can't do that at international level.
Messi will be the most fouled player in the
Spanish League..........
Need i say more ?
