Evatt chants

Good show of support for him is one way of looking at it, he certainly got a good reception.

I wonder what he was thinking.

The Evatt give us a wave chant was hilarious.

His hands had to be glued by his side, even if he has an itch on his face he wouldn't have been able to scratch it, as the cheers would have gone up.

😂

What a deluded whingeing minnie

Evatt said: “We were good second half and we were in control. Their moments were all in turnovers, transitions and set plays they didn’t create anything from general play and it was us that was probing. I thought the general performance was okay and deserved more.

They created absolutely nothing In The second half only a penalty 😂😂😂

He's probably right, it wasn't our best passing display and I didn't think we played the 10 men that well, kept hoofing it when we should have passed them to death and pulled them apart.

So yeah, after going behind, scored 4 without reply without being at our best. They're lucky were weren't at our best then.

😬👍

What's the difference in general play and a turnover?
Generally in football the opposition attack you, the ball is taken from them, and we then attack them.
Sounds like Evatt is talking bollocks to me.

All in his current line of work and wanting to win of course - but the histrionics on the touchline and chasing the referee down the tunnel was very cringe. Particularly since it was a stonewall pen.

Is he better than Critchley? Not today he wasn’t - not even close

I hope Evatt knows it was out of genuine love for a club legend and not us taking the piss.

I’d have him as manager tomorrow
It was definitely out of love and he would know that, only cheeky chant was give us a wave which he would have seen the humour in.

Ian Evatts Tangerine, Tangerine, Tangerine, Ian Evatts Tangerine, he hates Bolton!!

3 points off automatic with a game in hand suggests otherwise

I wouldn't over think the chanting.

It was in response to the Bolton fans' insistence that IE hates Blackpool; which we all know isn't true.

It was quite funny and light hearted, far better than the "one IE"" he got as a player or the alternative "wanker, wanker, wanker" to someone we don't like.

This

Sat right next to the Bolton fans in the south and looked at their faces laughing when they chanted he hates Blackpool.

Knew we'd reply at some point

Bolton fans don’t seem so convinced by IE. If they don’t get promotion this season they seem to reckon he’ll be out of a job

Funny isn’t it?
Fans seem rarely taken with their manager and Evatts had the resources and the time from the board to build that squad.

if we didn’t know Critchley and just looked at his CV as our new manager I’d say most would be overjoyed.

I personally thought the Evatt chants were a bit cringeworthy. Don't mind giving him a clap after the game but chanting his name during it when he's an opposing manager is a bit weird.
wow! You really don't understand banter and irony do you? It had nothing to do with supporting Evatt and all about taking the piss out of Bolton fans because Evatt was a former Pool hero.

Tell that to Dembele and Gabriel.

Correct .

The chants didn’t start until we were winning which says it all.

It was all to with winding Bolton fans up 100 per cent .

Hope NC also realised that.

I think the referee was sick of their players telling him his job. The ref was offering Dembele the protection he deserves but rarely gets. Add to that the fact that when fouled we did not wave imaginary cards or roll round the floor in feigned agony and maybe he showed a bit of bias based on that.
We also regularly have Hubbie and Norburn in the referees ear and I am not sure it works in our favour.
Evatt congratulated our players before requesting a discussion with the ref which is his right.
Remember when Evatt first took the Bolton job he was relying on signings such as Baps and Delfonso, so I think he has enhanced his reputation as Bolton were good, just we were better on the day.
I am not sure he fits the head coach model, he is a manager and a good one at that.

Apart from the penalty, the worldie save from their keeper, the ref missing a clear 2nd penalty and a brilliant breakaway goal, he's right, we created nothing. It was a good game of football, they're a decent side but in no way did Bolton deserve anything from it.

You don't understand - when you win back possession you are meant topass it around at the back a few times to let the oppostion get back in position. None of this moving the ball quickly nonsense.

As a Bolton fan posted on their forum 'We never score goals like Blackpool's fourth.

I didn't like how he confronted Kyle Joseph on the pitch after the final whistle. You could clearly see him talking to Joseph and Joseph pointing to his ankle. Yes he's got his job to do but if he wants question decisions then go and talk to the referee. I don't think Santos should've been sent off, it was a penalty and yellow card.

I think we all loved that 4th goal, that's the sort of football I want to see.
Don't know about turnovers, transitions and phases of play just give me pace, perfectly executed passes and composure and I'm happy.

Evatt is a BFC legend but he acted like a dick yesterday.

I’d say red slid in from behind with both feet off the ground and never played the ball

In theory maybe your right but I don’t think we are a great passing team.

We can sometimes but other times we abandon it.

Yesterday would have been pretty easy though as against 10 men, if you can't do it then...

Harmless chants which brought a decent bit a reality to those muppets in the east. I’m sure Evatt loves everything about BFC. No harm done.

They were rubbing it in with him because we were winning 😂 😂

Thought that was hilarious! He could have given us a wave the miserable sod!

Perhaps he was congratulating KJ for not 'writhing around in faux agony' after Santos had took his legs from under him?

Probably not though. 😜

Bloody hell didn’t see that well out of order if it happened especially as Joseph could have stayed down and made loads more of it .

Not on that Ian . Speak to the referee not our players .

Hopefully the big ‘Wanky Wanderer’ (yes we’ve seen the Video Clips 😂) will have the balls to apologise.
