Even Evo doesn't see us as a threat

Talked this morning about the top 6/7 being very strong and pulling away ..

Hello from 8th position 👋

Can’t blame him to be honest.

We might have great home form but to be a threat to the top 6 we have to pick up away points and were failing miserably right now.

Something has to change pronto starting tonight as we’re halfway through the season now and we’ve looked average at best so far so massive room for improvement.

Be interesting as Evo’s lot put 3 past Vale on Boxing Day granted they conceded 2 late on but still took all the points.

Just to add rather than edit yes it was Barnsley who beat Port Vale not Bolton on Boxing Day Bolton beat Lincoln who are next up for us in the league.

I think he's right, the points totals say so.

Agree there hasn't been much between the sides when we've seen them but the top 7 are obviously better against weaker opposition and away from home.

Evo needs to focus on getting in the top two, not sure he'll get another season if he doesn't deliver promotion this year.

Think most Bolton fans like Evo.
The club has been stabilised and pushing for another promotion

Has he moved to Barnsley?

Exactly!

Promotion is won at grounds like BA and CU and not nec. at places like Portsmouth. By definition there far more of the former.

As I've said I think we'll win tonight, then mess it up Monday. We're very much a step to the right and two steps to the left team.

You've seen plenty to show that we're not strong enough.
Not really stuffed Portsmouth, Bolton could have gone either way, draw at Oxford which we dominated second half, beat Barnsley and Stevenage,Derby sat back and hit us on the break and I missed the Peterborough game but watched the highlights.

Not a single of the top 7 are brilliant.
Our home form is good it's the away games where the home team sits back like Burton and Cambridge we need to sort, on our day we're as good as any of those above.

Two games running they've been 3 up and nearly blown it. That luck won't continue

He's talking shite I've seen nothing from the top 7 to believe their very strong.
Apart from them having more points and, apart from Stevenage all having at least one game in hand, so the possibility of mover further ahead of an inconsistent Blackpool.
Yeh, utter shite if you're a blinkered Blackpool supporter who can't see what's clearly in front of you.

I think even Portsmouth are bang average. All of them are. Which is why our position and form is actually sackable.

If Simon had any ambition, if we're sat here with less than 6 points from Port Vale and Lincoln, I'd bring someone else in.
Pompy bang average 🤣🤣🤣
Lost 2 in 23 and won more this season than any other team in the division apart from Bolton.
I'd love to know what a team has to for you to class them as really good 🙄

Is it just me that's sick of hearing how because we beat Portsmouth away means we should be a top team in the division?

The Portsmouth result was a freak result in their season and a freak result in our season. It means fcuk all.

Might as well go round saying we should be competing with Liverpool because we did the double over them last time we played a league game.

Are any of the teams strong that's what he said before jumping in with your size 9's every time.🤡

Reactions: no9

How about their league positions, that would suggest they’re stronger than the rest. They might not be very strong if the likes of Sunderland and Wednesday were in this division, but they’re not. All they need to be is stronger and more consistent than the rest, which they are.

Won 3(2 away from home)
Lost 3(2 home)
Drawn 1(away)
Against the top 7 that's decent form, it's the shite away results we need to sort against bottom half teams and get the odd draw.

Wrong!!

Barnsley beat PV on Boxing Day !!!!

Can we get back to what was posted Evo saying that the top teams are very strong I totally disagree bang average for me(including us) in 8th.

Their hardly Plymouth,Ipswich or Sheffield W from last season are they?

Yes they've all got more points but are any of us seriously worried about Barnsley,Oxford and Bolton who've to come to BR next year?

Any football fan of a club down to 12/13th will fancy themselves in this league going on a run and getting into the play offs with these average teams.

Thats the whole point, it’s not last season it’s this season. As I said they only need to be stronger than the rest of the division this season .Their league positions would suggest they are.🤷

But what about those outfits (such as BFC, for example), which, if we're been totally honest, actually fall, in footballing terms, 'well below' these average teams? Because, frankly, I think we're already at the stage where we have no other choice than to concentrate all our efforts on preparing for next season. And anyone out there who continues to think otherwise needs to take a serious rain check.

Even Evo Doesn't See Us As a Threat.

A rather sobering sub-header, which, I'm sorry to have to say, leaves just the one painfully predictable enquiry:

'Is There Anyone Out There Who Does?"

Bolton are not very strong . He’s deluding himself . Bang average from what I saw.
I watched them at Fleetwood on Friday night. They were everything we were not at Fleetwood. They got their noses in front and never looked like conceding. They have a team full of tacklers and Santos at the back was a man mountain. It was obvious why they are doing so well in the league and we are doing badly!

We are not doing badly . Not as well as we want granted .
We have the best home record in the league and are 8th !!!!
Anyway what are you doing going to watch relegation fodder Cods ffs when the Mighty are playing ?
