Well... The local "I'd love to support the fight against racism, but......" have been out in force over the last few days, defending their right to oppose any stance against racism, that fails to meet their tough and exacting standards... So What's your excuse?

Here's a couple of AVFTT Classics to start you off....

I don't support taking a stand against racism.......because some Black Footballers drive Lamborghinis and North America is very hot, whilst Central Europe is suffering from flooding.

I don't support taking a stand against racism...... because it's a Marxist Plan to take over the world, defund the Police Service and break down society.
 
...because they shouldn't get involved in things outside of football and leave it to the politicians and people on obscure football message boards.
 
It's not about racism though is it? It's just the usual lefties on this Board trying to catch people out. Well I'm not playing into the hands of the Commie, BLM terrorist group. Prove that it's not them...go, you can't can you? Where's your source?......it's just the Guardian being ant-British again isn't it?.....and on, and on, and.............

because Gareth Southgate was clearly forced by the FA to support the players taking the knee - I mean imagine what would have happened if he didn't support it?

One feels jolly lucky where we live as there aren’t any darkies close by, so one really doesn’t feel the need to defend this racism thingy. Oh, wait a minute I tell a lie, my Orthodontist has recently moved into the large Georgian mansion a couple of Avenues away, and his parents were from one of our Commonwealth countries, splendid chap.

I couldn't be bothered at the time but have got back from the pub now and feel I've covered it in my second post. I just find all of this incredibly boring. If you aren't "making a stand" (by posting broadly supportive BLM stuff online 😂) you are a racist. No nuance, it's a total turn off. I try not to engage with this stuff - positively or negatively - but can't help myself sometimes. Anyway, I hope everyone has had a good Sunday. Black, white, chinky, I love you all ❤️

Anyway I can't make a stand because I bought the boxed set of 'Till death do us part'.

The farm takes up most of the day and at night I just like a cup of tea. I might not be able to devote myself full time to the ol' racism
