FA Cup Tickets

Just bought two, the stands look empty.

£20 vs Prem opposition, tinpot.
That's not great, hopefully there will be a lot that turn up on the day. I must admit I don't get the apathy for tomorrows game, it's a 3pm Kick off at home on a Saturday, Forest are bringing 3,500 which will make it a good atmosphere so surely it's worth going. It's not like we are away at Blyth Spartans on a Tuesday night.

The problem is, it's Forest. We played them last season, and we'll probably play them again next season.

With our current form, and the likelihood that most Premier League teams don't take the 3rd round seriously, I doubt we would get a much better reaction except maybe for Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, Newxastle, City, United, Liverpool and possibly Everton.

Would anyone bust a gut to watch Bournemouth, Brighton, Southampton, Palace, Fulham, Brentford, or Scumbag East Londoners?

That just leaves Wolves, Villa, Leicester and Leeds (probably all fringe players)- not very inspiring either!
And yet I remember 20,000 + gates against 4th division opponents. And that was with no discounted ticket prices . Different era though .

Any POTG tomorrow? Can see the ticket office being busy at 2.30pm tomorrow when people meet earlier in the pub and think 'fuck it lets go'.

I think it’s previous purchase history required, so unlikely potg as verification would be difficult. Suggest arrive earlier than usual at the ticket office.

Well we’ve decided to go & I’m having a change from the usual West. There will be at least 3 of us in the North Stand. Perhaps Josh may come out of corporate & have a catch up with us. 😂

The new signings should obviously help and its a chance for our fans to enjoy a game of football without the stresses of our relegation fight. I totally understand why some will stay away but at £20, the chance of a couple of beers with friends and the chance of a place in R4, I'm hoping a few more change their minds.
Knowing our luck the new signings will probably get injured if they play in this match

Our sales for this are woeful. Get yourselves down there and enjoy it, this could be the start of our perfect 20 plus 🧡

Never mind Forest reserves I want to know we’re going to go for it before parting with £20. Want us to have a decent cup run so don’t want any mixing and matching bollox. Still scarred from Everton away under Holloway when apparently we had bigger fish to fry than try to progress further, me and 5000 others! Play like we did yesterday with a similar team and we’ll have a hell of a chance. Hopefully Matt Scrafton will ask Appleton
Nothing on Southampton (who were league one) away when we were in the premier league

That was quite a good attendance back then, we got relegated that season to Division 4 and Burnley were then in the 4th Division, I think the ground could only hold less than 10,000.

Roy Calley's book say there was 8,091 there.

The season after we were at home to Tottenham and the gate was 9,563 which was close to or was a sell out.
The season we took QPR to a 2nd replay , free coaches to Loftus Rd for the 2nd game .

Obviously started to fill up a bit since the last one, but still could do with a lot buying on the day.

So what you're saying is our fans are in thrall to big teams, whatever that means.

Fickle.

To be honest, I am going, but I'm very 'meh' about Forest. I'd far rather it be either, say, Liverpool or Arsenal, or I dunno, Met Police or Billingham Synthonia.

You want a bit of a break from normality with the cup and Forest is as boring a tie as I can imagine.

Was working in London at the time so was one of the few Seasiders happy we lost the coin toss to stage the second replay, some serious players in that QPR team back then, Seaman, Bardsley, McDonald, Maddix, Parker, Sansom; Barker, Wilkins, Sinton; Wegerle, Clarke.

Yeh 4 going here too but as above I'm not arsed in the slightest it's against Forest who are pretty uninspiring opposition. Sat 3pm game though watching Blackpool, couple of new signings to check out, course I'm gonna go.

Yep the apathy, general feeling of the season, manager etc, despite the recent lift from Bowler, means this one is poorly attended.

It's not a massively exciting game (even though I'm really looking forward to it) and not priced at a can not refuse price for casuals.

However still looking disappointing and more should go imo.

A chance to watch the lads in a tough test, some new players and also be free of the fear of worrying about points.

Also if we get through we might then get some luck in the draw.

Forest are only playing Blackpool and have sold out. Anything below 10k is really poor from us however you dress it up.
10k? We've not been getting that in the league in our current downbeat season.

No chance in thr cup vs forest who we played last season, maybe a top side yes.

They are a far bigger club from a far more populated area coming to Blackpool away, it's always popular, plus on a premier league high.

Well my excuse for not going today is illness.

Had Covid for 2 weeks over Christmas (4 days in bed) and although I’am now testing negative I still feel like shit with still many symptoms.

Sorry but thats the only excuse I can list so watching it at home on the fire stick. 🤢

3500 away fans, anything less than 6500 home fans is pathetic

You said it like you meant home fans which is the numbers we're on about.

We had sold about 4k+ will probably end up over 5. So not miles away.

But still for me should be getting 6 or so yes, but many factors have put people off sadly.

I can see why you came to that conclusion but yes I meant overall attendance.

It’s a real eye opener and shows the general feeling towards the team and manager. No hiding behind season tickets being counted.

At least we cleared the first goal of not being outnumbered. A very low bar though.

The issue is the club have opened the whole stadium, usually they do the west and North and then open block by block if needed.

On one hand good to have fans behind both goals, but would have been a better atmosphere if all closer together.

Could do with that north filling up, as a full away end vs a half full north isn't ideal.

When Bowler comes out to wave to the “crowd”… he might just wonder why he came back !
Tony Parr.

"Please give a warm welcome back, to Josh Bowler"

We were so lucky to get that 0-0 ,Mcilhargey's crossbar was red hot with the hits it was taking.

Yes it's a shame the club badly underestimated the number of " can't be arsed " supporters.

Come on. Fleetwood. Salford. Southampton. Luton. Reading.

I watched the last 10 minutes of the UTD v Everton game last night, got to say the UTD players were buzzing they had got through. Also 9,000 Everton fans attended along with about 60,000 United fans. So maybe the FA cup is still alive and kicking after all.

Was just fiddling around in bet 365 and you can watch the current games on there....
Must be said that the nobbers haven't sold many tickets..... Its quite laughable 😂😂

3 of us setting off now from PR2, we were in the ‘not sure we can be arsed’ category? But quite looking forward to it now, reckon there’ll be quite a few like us just rocking up in the next hour and a half, hopefully Lyon’s and Rogers impress👍🏻
