Famous faces/Celeb fans at Blackpool

Swiss Toni. Often seen in the bogs making love to a beautiful woman.😘
Going to the match is very much like making love to a beautiful woman.

First you have to know which entrance is the correct one, you don't want to find yourself in the wrong end, then if it's a little boring you can shout encouragement until you extracate yourself from your position for some half time refreshment, maybe a pie or some cheese and onion crisps...

Maybe we can conclude we are pretty much a celebrity free club 👍

Some mentioned are barely Z-list and not BFC regulars ….

Ann Nolan married Brian Wilson. No, not the ** Beach Boy - the one-time Blackpool player.

Used to see Lennie Bennett at matches - think he got for speeding when we played away at Crewe on New Years Day in the mid-80s.

He did. Remember it well.

I think it was front page Gazette

Is there a more worrying trend here that not many famous people nowadays come from Blackpool.
Although Chissy's son Dean is playing Jan Valjean in Les Mis at the mo and is a Blackpool fan.
I know Dean and his brother Craig. Watched a lot of games together over the years. Both massive Pool fans and both great lads.

Freddie Starr was a regular visitor several early seasons when he was doing his summer stints in town .Used to see him around the tea bar in the west stand near the old supporters club .

Lennie Bennett. Met him at Wembley, I think it was when we lost to Torquay. I think he was with Steve Abbot of Abbots Cars in Fleetwood. Are they still going? He was shit at football. Steve not Lennie

as frank's legend goes, i think 'little frank' was the blackpool fan. we were frank's fourth team after (in ascending order): city, alty and timperley bigshorts. 🙂

btw, the match frank was at was versus orient in 89 i think. there's a terrific pic with tango in the old pics sticky thread.

here to help. blackpool fool. 🍊
Frank Sidebottom AKA Moonchester (the City mascot) AKA Chris Sievey - a massive City fan. Sadly no longer with us tinkling the ivories for an adoring public. I was lucky enough to go for a pint with him one night in Manchester. We were all in the Mark Addy and Chris, who was a tad the worse for wear, launched into a loud and sustained rendition of "if you all hate Man United clap your hands". Memories.

Not necessarily a pool fan, but interesting that Robert Smith was born in Blackpool before he grew up in Croydon.

I remember us playing Man.Utd reserves early 80's and Bryan Robson was sat in block A of the West stand complete with his fur coated missus. Poor bugger didn't get a minutes peace due to autograph hunters.

Well, well, I'll run All Around My Hat. Maddie Prior was born in Blackpool too.

As was the singer of Aqua Maria from Stingray.

I suggested Pictures of You, Goude e te (sp) and Aqua Maria as a Tea Time Theme Time on Radmac's show....never got played BASTARDS.

You’re gonna have to enlighten me on “Goude e te (sp) 🤔

Perhaps I should bring my Little Frank along to a game
