I know (or should I say 'ken') that you Scots haven't got the best grasp of the English language and to be fair it seems that a few down here are struggling too. So I thought I'd do my best to try and help you out.
You seem to be struggling to understand what "Be Alert" actually means... Personally, I'd have thought it was fairly self-explanatory, but no... Since you raised the question, it seems that your own Nation, The Welsh and a sizeable proportion of England have followed you into some form of viral memory loss or maybe it might be better described as basic stupidity.
For the benefit of you and the rest of the hard of thinking, I have "Cut and Pasted" a dictionary definition, which I hope goes some way to clearing up your little dilemma...
ALERT
adjective
adjective: alert; comparative adjective: alerter; superlative adjective: alertest
quick to notice any unusual and potentially dangerous or difficult circumstances; vigilant.
noun
noun: alert
the state of being watchful for possible danger.
verb
verb: alert; 3rd person present: alerts; past tense: alerted; past participle: alerted; gerund or present participle: alerting
warn (someone) of a danger or problem.
So let's pop that into the context of the coronavirus and the process of how we, as a nation should be behaving in relation to the threat of the disease. Well, when you eventually allow the people of Scotland to leave their homes that is.
P.S. I'm assuming I don't need to provide a dictionary definition for the word "BE", but if you are struggling with it please let me know and I'd "BE" only to happy to oblige.
