FAO SLO: Under 16's

My lad has just told me that he had to prove his age to get into the ground today. Apparently, kids under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult to gain admission to the ground. A14 yo lad got turned away because he didn't have an adult with him; he was devastated. What the fuck is going on? Do we not want the younger generation to support the Pool?
Edit to add; I'm absolutely fuming. I used to go to Bloomfield Road from the age of 11 with all my mates. Why stop kids from supporting us, it's absolutely ridiculous!

Hello this has been policy for years at all League clubs.
So shut the fuck up with your moaning this isn't the 80's your stuck in the past.
There isn't that many palaces a U16 would get in anyway.

It's under 14s, not under 16s. It is standard safeguarding policy, and clearly stated in various places on the club website, that it's a condition of sale of tickets to under 14s that they must be accompanied by a responsible adult or they will not be admitted to games. I will look into the issues around proof of age. No one who is 14 or over should be turned away.

The SLO's response has made you look a bit of a whopper there. Diving in telling the fella to shut the fcuk up when you are wrong. Ouch.

Find the lads and get them in next time for free as way of apology.

We want to build the fanbase.
