Alan wright ,crainey ,jaszcun, also only a few games for us but robbie williams did ok,and as others have said dylan kerr ,hillsy and a few others.
Lived in Poulton round the corner from me.He was, one i'd forgotten about. A good player and equally good decorator
Coached me when i was young , had a small dog called Pele
Ended up as Assistant England manager to Graham Taylor
A fantastic after dinner speaker, a very funny man and known for a special party trick
Forgot all about the mighty Emlyn who played in only about 19 games for us but with heart on sleeve for every one of themEmlyn Hughes wasn’t bad at left back for the short period he was at Blackpool, must have done enough to convince Bill Shankly to pay a record fee for his signature,
Right back.Gordon (The Mighty) Simmonite - although I can't remember whether he was a right or left full-back!

He was RB? Steve Harrison was LB .Paul Gardiner
Great shout for Evans - a great player who would have gone on to higher things had his career not been cut short with injury.I have a thing for left backs I think.
Gaz Evans was total class. Thought he was brilliant.
Mitch Cook was my first favourite player.
Loved both Hillsy and Tommy J.
Jimmy Husband I ** love.
Marc Bola was definitely the best player we had when we came back.
Crainey is just too obvious but he was outstanding.
Club Gaz membership in the postGreat shout for Evans - a great player who would have gone on to higher things had his career not been cut short with injury.
I too loved Tommy J - I'm not sure why but he was one of my favourites growing up.
Husband awesome too, our best full back last season.
The more I read your posts/blogs td53 the more I feel relieved that there is at least one other likeminded fan who sees things the same as I do:-
- Husband a great player
- Left backs generally being awesome
- Wor Gaz being an absolute legend
Can’t disagree with that TD apart from Gaz evans im slightly embarrassed to say I don’t remember him, Mitch Cook had a great right foot though, surprised you put husband in there but I agree, 6.30 tonight him , beesley & Carey we’re in nondos, personally I think they should have been at the game as nice as the chicken is,don’t know what spice level they had but let’s face it you can always bump it up with the sauces on the side, beesley didn’t have that plaster thing on his foot though so hopefully he’ll be fine to replace the “goal machine “ if needed, although I’m sure big G will do what he does best and…we’ll I don’t want to piss you off so I’ll leave it at thatI have a thing for left backs I think.

I remember McGrain in that game too, probably the best non-Blackpool player in a tangerine shirt I've seen. Tommy Burns was excellent as well, however, the one moment that stuck with me was Kenny Dalgleish nutmegging Paul Stewart with a back pass to the keeper!Just an aside. The best full backs I've seen at Bloomfield Rd were Jimmy Armfield (many times) and Danny McGrain (once). I was in the Scratching shed for the 1983 charity game for the drowned police officers and dog owner. McGrain's speed of thought, movement and passing were amazing.
I was going to include Tommy Garrett. For the last couple of decades it would be Crainey and added to the list of some great BFC players would just like to mention Tommy Garrett from the golden days of the fifties, he was playing for us when I first when to Bloomfield rroad in '49 and still playing frist division football when I was in the RAF, many years later.
He wasn't called Crazy Horse for nothing.Emlyn Hughes wasn’t bad at left back for the short period he was at Blackpool, must have done enough to convince Bill Shankly to pay a record fee for his signature,

Didn’t Gaz Evans play in goal during a Tuesday night match ?Great shout for Evans - a great player who would have gone on to higher things had his career not been cut short with injury.

Pretty sure he was in nets for our street party penalty shoot out at the 1977 Silver Jubilee. He lived up the road when players lived in same street as the fans.He was, one i'd forgotten about. A good player and equally good decorator

There was a house on Mossbourne road Poulton,Near Cottom Hall.Pretty sure he was in nets for our street party penalty shoot out at the 1977 Silver Jubilee. He lived up the road when players lived in same street as the fans.
I'm dated! Surprised however that it took 71 posts for his name to be mentioned. His only mistake was a fatal back pass which let Tottenham in for an equaliser on 1961.Barrie Martin.
You’re dated if you remember him.
I'm referring to Beckdean Ave nr Baines he lived top of there for a bit. There was a house on Mossbourne road Poulton,Near Cottom Hall.
I remember loads of players stopping there. Steve was a local lad, his parents lived at Staining Road End
He put one in his own net v Arsenal away 1962/63.I'm dated! Surprised however that it took 71 posts for his name to be mentioned. His only mistake was a fatal back pass which let Tottenham in for an equaliser on 1961.
