Oh man what a question. Ormerod purely on the basis he made the club a lot of cash when he left, came back and some of his goals helped take us to the promised land again and was the most exhilarating to watch in full flow.

Brett by an absolute whisker, then Super Tony and The Bomber in equal second.

As the question clearly states "who is your favourite striker" then for me it is Bamber then Ellis then Brett.

Probably more to do with my age at the time they played for us but unlike the other two, Brett was never my favourite player - that doesn't mean I didn't like him because I certainly did, it's just that there was always other players who were my favourites when he was playing for us.

Ellis. You just knew when he picked the ball up wide left corner of the box where the ball was going. I'd celebrate in anticipation.

Guess you'd feel the same about Ormerod, with his Preston connection....
It just felt different with Ormerod - probably because he was signed by Pool first then went to PNE a few years later, rather than coming from straight from our Arch Rivals like Ellis did. Like I said in my original post, I was a few years younger when Ellis played for us and at that age got caught up in all tribal stuff and hadn’t yet developed the maturity to understand that in the main, footballers don’t have the same sense of club loyalty that fans do and it’s just a job. Hence why I never really took to Ellis ( Although he was a great striker and thought it was still ace when he signed😃)

Ormerod for me. Scored in all 4 divisions for the 'Pool and his right foot put us in the Premier League. When I think of his goal against Spurs in the Prem the memory of the roar gives me chills every time, you could tell everyone was praying he'd get a goal that season

I just googled to see if there was any other player who'd done it for one club and there is not even a mention of Brett in two separate articles discussing "players who have scored in all 4 divisions". Surely it is more remarkable to do it for one club than 4/3 separate ones? Madness!

Bamber, definitely a marmite player, loved at Blackpool, voted the worst player ever for Stoke and Hull.
