No, the reason seems to be that they had permission from the parent club, but failed to explicitly inform the FA of that fact.

My guess is that when FGR were filling out the paperwork for our game, they noticed the mistake for the earlier game and informed the FA of that fact.

My 2p, it's a paperwork SNAFU, there's no doubt the player was otherwise eligible, we'd all have been better served if the FA had simply said "whatever, we'll let it ride", and maybe FGR could've chucked Scarborough £10,000 or so for any theoretical losses.

FGR game postponed today, that will help with their Christmas fixture congestion! I really do hope Scarborough beat them on Tuesday.
