FGR Scarborough To replay

Then when we play the winner on the 19th? Absolute madness that, as the club say in that, we potentially play 5 games in 14 days!

How can they justify them having to play each other again? If FGR had broken the rules they should be out, if they hadn't they play us. Feel like they've done this to justify postponing our game.

And if our game goes to a replay?

Or does our game have to be played to a finish?

Good luck trying to fit that in before the third round.

** joke if we walked away from the competition it would be good.

This has got Hollywood written all over it.
FGR win their replay against Scarborough in added time, then overcome a tired looking Blackpool side in round 3, only to go on an amazing FA cup run and reach the final.
…., and then I woke up
🤣

I think it will almost certainly be a weakened team for the cup game
6 games in 17 days. That's piss poor by the F.A.

16 Dec - Cambridge (A)
19 Dec - FGR or Scarborough (H)
23 Dec - Bristol Rov (H)
26 Dec - Burton (A)
29 Dec - Port Vale (A
1 Jan - Lincoln (H)

Edit - then either Forest away or Leyton Orient away on 6th Jan

It massively impedes on the integrity of the competition. We'll probably have to play a very weakened side with the proximity of the fixtures, giving the other team a better chance of getting through.

Hypothetically, FGR who fielded an intelligible player gain an advantage against us because they broke the rules. Ridiculous.

At a guess if our game goes to a replay it would be on Sat 6th Jan when the 3rd round games are played. Which in all likelihood would mean less fans, both home and away, for a midweek game at Forest so will they have a case for compensation from FA? This is all an absolute mess.

If Scarborough and fgr draw there’s NO replay goes straight to penalties on the evening of the 12th

According to the Barnsley forum they broke different rules.

Barnsley broke rule 103 in that they played a player in the replay that was not registered for the first game. FGR broke rule 109 in that they played an emergency loan keeper without explicit written permission from his parent club.

Playing it on 6/1 would f*** over a PL side, so that's not going to happen.

Possibly we could postpone the Boxing Day game at Burton, and play it then, can't see Burton being happy about that though.

This is an utter f***ing shambles.

How well sourced is that?

So they both broke rules 🤷‍♂️

They will have the same fixture pile up but agree that it's ridiculous.

Dale Vince and his ECO club are high profile flavour of the times, so no surprise.

Needless to say the FA should to explain why FGR have been treated so differently from Barnsley. I doubt that they will though. Rather like the handling of their two board members who should have been removed because of their political activism, I suspect that they will close ranks and refuse any transparency.
