You’re wrongWrong!
Wrong they replay on Tuesday.Wrong!
The winner of the FGR Scarborough replay on the 12thSo who do we play?
The BFC Statement mentioning the 2nd round game on the 19th doesn’t mention who we will be playing because FGR and Scarborough are replaying on 12/12Wrong!
Absolutely f***ing bizarre, either they broke the rules or they didn't, neither eventuality should involve a replay.
So you break a rule, admit it then appeal and get let off !!Just read that Barnsley didn't appeal whereas FGR did. Bloody hell..
It massively impedes on the integrity of the competition. We'll probably have to play a very weakened side with the proximity of the fixtures, giving the other team a better chance of getting through.I think it will almost certainly be a weakened team for the cup game
6 games in 17 days. That's piss poor by the F.A.
16 Dec - Cambridge (A)
19 Dec - FGR or Scarborough (H)
23 Dec - Bristol Rov (H)
26 Dec - Burton (A)
29 Dec - Port Vale (A
1 Jan - Lincoln (H)
At a guess if our game goes to a replay it would be on Sat 6th Jan when the 3rd round games are played. Which in all likelihood would mean less fans, both home and away, for a midweek game at Forest so will they have a case for compensation from FA? This is all an absolute mess. And if our game goes to a replay?
Or does our game have to be played to a finish?
Good luck trying to fit that in before the third round.
** joke if we walked away from the competition it would good.
Playing it on 6/1 would f*** over a PL side, so that's not going to happen. At a guess if our game goes to a replay it would be on Sat 6th Jan when the 3rd round games are played. Which in all likelihood would mean less fans, both home and away, for a midweek game at Forest so will they have a case for compensation from FA? This is all an absolute mess.
I know it was a dream , but FGR /Scarborough/Blackpool will be away to Nottm Forest in round 3This has got Hollywood written all over it.
FGR win their replay against Scarborough in added time, then overcome a tired looking Blackpool side in round 3, only to go on an amazing FA cup run and reach the final.
…., and then I woke up
How well sourced is that?According to the Barnsley forum they broke different rules.
Barnsley broke rule 103 in that they played a player in the replay that was not registered for the first game. FGR broke rule 109 in that they played an emergency loan keeper without explicit written permission from his parent club.
So they both broke rulesAccording to the Barnsley forum they broke different rules.

Think we ought to rename the competition the football union cup, or fucup for short, that seems apt.so, Barnsley got kicked out for fielding an ineligible player but Forest Green just have to replay? just goees to show that FA actually stands for Freakin' Arseholes
I'd have said Ferkin Arseholes.so, Barnsley got kicked out for fielding an ineligible player but Forest Green just have to replay? just goees to show that FA actually stands for Freakin' Arseholes
They will have the same fixture pile up but agree that it's ridiculous. It massively impedes on the integrity of the competition. We'll probably have to play a very weakened side with the proximity of the fixtures, giving the other team a better chance of getting through.
Hypothetically, FGR who fielded an intelligible player gain an advantage against us because they broke the rules. Ridiculous.
