Firstly it is clear because we cocked up last season.

You say we've no idea about planning but yet say it's clear SS is willing to bring in etc. You've no bleedin idea if he's willing to bring in players identified as first choices.

As for instant players, wtf do you expect when you sell a massively important player? Some sort of 'one for the future' meanwhile the team on the pitch suffers. Give over. You bring in a player who is competent and will improve- sorry but they don't grow on trees or in your mind. They cost.

Again this money tree. How does SG get improved? From income to the FC alongside some from SS. Do you expect SS to pay for absolutely everything from his own pocket. Football income includes monies received from players transfers and in this case the NC compo which gets spent in more than one way.
No, it’s not clear at all… You’re attempting to concoct a ‘cause’ to the ultimate ‘effect’

We have no idea about planning, but we can see from the evidence of our own eyes that SS has funded incomings and competed to sign them where necessary.

From what I can see, things just veered off track last season and we have taken measures to address that.

What I expect is that the Club has a clear transfer policy that it sticks to pretty rigidly and that we don’t concern ourselves so much with individual positions or get too hung up about individual players.

I’m not sure you have particularly grasped my point about necessary improvements to infrastructure. I expect the club to be run properly, with due consideration to every aspect of expenditure… I don’t see the need or have the desire for cash to be ring-fenced… Where you see ‘absorption’ I see progress and improvement.

I think Lyons will improve with the time in a lower division, and the opportunity to grow under NC.
We may also find he isn't a 'right back' at all.
He's also very very similar to Gabriel in lots of ways.

If Lyons and Yates do both leave it should leave us with quite a war chest to rebuild our squad. That said, having money is one thing, getting the right players is another. With the Norburn deal going south by the sounds of things, it would leave massive holes in our squad in terms of quality.

The defence was too exposed last season by a lack of strength in midfield, which was played through too easily.
Also by Apple Tart’s low block, as opposed to Critchley’s high line

Looking back, it’s clear that, as much as the powder-puff midfield, was why we had so much difficulty with teams moving the ball around on the edge of our box.

Maybe it works at L1/L2 level but was a disaster against clever, technical players … Diallo at Sunderland being one who springs to mind
