Finnigan Signs.

You definitely see more clearly if you're at the game. The first time I saw Jerry Yates in the flesh, for example, I realised he was better than I thought.

But some people who go to matches regularly seem to not watch the game or something. Maybe they're too pissed. Or just have no idea.

Yes ,but Yates and Bowler brought in good money and 1 or 2 others have gone with undisclosed fees. We will never get massive money for any of our players because of the division they are in . Yet if you forget the money and look at the improvement over the last couple of years [even with poor managers ] Dougle ,CJ , Yates , Bowler, Husband , Gabriel , Ecky . Most pool fans would say that they are all playing better and they cost us little. A bit like Finnigan.
It's been very much hit and miss but I suppose that will be the case unless you spend on proven quality which we rarely do.

I don't think he'll be dev squad tbh. He's already done well at Crewe on loan in the top half of L2. We've paid a fee for him. He'll train with the first team when he's fit enough to start training, but won't break into the XI this season, methinks.
Quite probably, so his gametime will be with the dev squad, at least for now until pre-season gives a clearer picture. Especially if Byers or whoever experienced signs.

Dev squad games may well help him get back to fitness as it has with other first team squad members but to say the signing has development squad written all over it is classic Avftt curmudgeon stuff.

Might play for the Dev squad to get his match fitness up, but I'm sure he's one for the first team. He was already on loan at this level so that's where Southampton thought his level is currently at.

There's something in that. You have no idea how the defence is picking up their opposition when the camera is focusing at the other end of the ground.
Fair comment but to suggest that those watching elsewhere don't and shouldn't have an opinion is contrary to the basic principle of freedom of speech. Also just bear in mind that us armchair supporters do have a very favourable view of the action in and around the ball, which those watching in the stands might not necessarily have.

Freedom of speech is all well and good, but talking bollocks needs calling out 😉🤣

Possible Chant alert to the tune of Michael Finnigan

There was a young lad called Ryan Finnigan, and he’s better than David Linighan, when we play Preston we’ll surely win again cos we’ve got Finnigan Finnigan

Love it! Must remember it for when he makes the 1st team.😁

But you can also see something very far away and, in all honesty, had no idea what actually happened when at the game.

You also don't get to see things multiple times.

So you can see far more in some ways, less in others. Generally you have a wide enough view to see things that matter or if there's something that matters, it'll be shown, so the marking you don't see is largely irrelevant.

From my north vantage point things at the south are much harder to see than on TV.
