Fiorini, Anderson in midfield and we have a chance

Having thought about it for 24 hours.... I thought Fiorini was our best midfielder on the day , though I agree Keshi played well and made the goal . To me we were too attack heavy though and I think we would have had more control with Patino in midfield as well. Poveda is clearly injured and was ineffective yesterday, Morgan Rogers had a poor game but I have liked his commitment in previous games. Thorniley , Lyons, Gabriel , Nelson were heroic . Jerry Yates is an absolute Diamond. So.... I am trying to say.... Dobbs.... same team plus Patino to start instead of Poveda , Gabriel to replace Husband if he's out .

Connolly has the potential, if he keeps his head and doesn't get unnecessary yellow cards. Win the ball back and keep it simple with the passing to one of our more creative players.

If Poveda is injured then yeh I agree I'd bring in Patino but I'd actually play them flat rather than having that number 10 in front. Keshi does a lot both forward and defensively so to lose that by pushing him into the number 10 position rather than deeper CM I think would make us a bit weaker in midfield. As for full back yeh I'd go Gabriel and Lyons.

He has awful distribution and can't find a simple pass, under pressure just twats it away. He's really not what's needed, ball playing midfielders like Fiorini, Anderson and Patino who can pass and move with the ball are a better option.

Connolly has been shocking for months now. Mick persisting with him in CM was one of my biggest criticisms of him at times it was like playing with 10. He wants nothing to do with the ball, and if we’re being completely honest he’s not even good at the other side of the game. Persist with him at centre back I think there’s a player there, but I never want to see him in midfield again.

For me , his only position is on the right of a back 3 . I don’t rate him anywhere else unfortunately,

Sort of agree but they are lightweight and we got overrun in midfield on Saturday by Wigan. They were just too poor to take advantage.

Maybe start with then then introduce Connolly or Dougall later.

Agree, but all three of those players will get bypassed easily by any decent championship midfield. None of them will provide much protection for the defence or win the ball back. Neither Connolly nor Dougall are the answer either, and that really is why we are where we are.

Trybull, Stewart and Bridcutt are the answer in reality. Or were supposed to be.
