Have you seen Appleto’s first interview? Downbeat ‘we over achieved’ then blatant lies about fast aggressive football. Everyone knew that was bollocks! This feels like Groundhog Day
Look back at the posts after Appleton’s first interview and it looks like all the posts have been copied and pasted
With the exception of the name that is.
What else would you expect a new manager to say ffs?
Anyway, good luck Mick
Appleton's looked like he still had his final interview suit and black tie on and had just been bundled out of the boardroom and straight in front of a camera after being told he's the new head coach in the final hours before the start of pre-season. Mostly talked about over achieving and wanting his own players. And the reaction was largely that he's here now so we hope for the best, brave face on it, what happened to Rosenior etc. This feels like Groundhog Day

Good that bit. Crazy Uncle Mick.Very good interview … still wondering who ‘Juergen Klitman’ is tho
He's a Trans Sexual manager in the Bundesliga.Very good interview … still wondering who ‘Juergen Klitman’ is tho
I thought that too well he's my age and you do tend to get things muddled up.Jürgen who by the way? Klopp or Klinsman?
Is he that dyslexic transsexual of Scottish descent?Very good interview … still wondering who ‘Juergen Klitman’ is tho
I think he might have been talking about Juergen The New Kit-Man.Very good interview … still wondering who ‘Juergen Klitman’ is tho
watch those hamstrings SwampyI'm polishing my boots I want to play for him
you have a mature 11 year old there MattMy 11 year old said "he sounds good. He sounds reasonable and realistic" and he actually paid attention.
That bodes well in terms of talking to footballers
Managing expectations maybeGreat interview, comes across as very knowledgeable and considered.
Very confident we've got the right man!!
My only thought was he sounded like he's only concentrating on making us safe...call me wildly optimistic but i still think a top 6 isn't beyond us and tomorrow is the start of a Perfect 19!!!
Yep, boyhood club and had a full kit every year apart from the boycott years. Has a picture of Eammon o keefe on his bedroom wall.Am I alone in not giving a poop about interviews. I rarely watch because they are entirely predictable and meaningless. Did he say we were his boyhood club?
3 points tomorrow is what it's about. Nothing more.
No just said that he didn't have a job and this is a job. No bullshit. Quite refreshing.Am I alone in not giving a poop about interviews. I rarely watch because they are entirely predictable and meaningless. Did he say we were his boyhood club?

Hock, I am just making an observation and stating that there were quite a few on here who’s pessimism on MA’s appointment soon changed after his first interview.Have you seen Appleto’s first interview? The lad is awesome. I sometimes tell him I love him as much as Gary Madine.you have a mature 11 year old there Matt
Yeah, I know what you mean, but it's kind of how Appleton was bad at them and said stuff that then impacted on the atmosphere which in turn wasn't ideal for the young players who he put faith in.Am I alone in not giving a poop about interviews. Good stuff.Yeah, I know what you mean, but it's kind of how Appleton was bad at them and said stuff that then impacted on the atmosphere which in turn wasn't ideal for the young players who he put faith in.
Got the sense Mick knew exactly how to play it and the his role was to say what is needed. It was like Critchley's fan management but so much more assured and less scripted and essentially more genuine. He meant it when he said 'i love it' about football. You could just see it was real. He's happy to be here. To me, that makes a difference.
I love it to. I'll back him to the hilt cos he's living my dream and knows that's an honour.
I never hated Appleton but he just didn't get it in that respect. Sometimes a club can benefit from that detachment. We didn't.
Tomorrow will be Bloomfield at its best and whatever difference that makes, even if it's 0.0001% is significant to us cos we need every point and every second ball and every moment the ref isn't quite sure to have has much chance of going out way as humanly possible.
