Fleetwood v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 01.11.23

Let's stop this 3-5-2 nonsense and go back to basics. We are relying on wing backs creating which when it doesn't happen, it all goes wrong. Hopefully Norburn is fit and we see Dembele and Lavery (if two upfront) back in the team. Kouassi needs development and should not be starting.

He just simply isn't going to abandon his style.

He's pragmatic and actually, I'm fed up of him relinquishing responsibility for ** downright rank performances.

He needs to shoulder blame, good managers change and adapt and enforce their style and system like he's doing. That's a positive.

Bad managers become obcessive over the opposition and care too much about what they are doing and how they attack.

Sir Alex struck the balance quite well, when there was an obvious threat he'd do something about it. Otherwise he'd play his best players to win a game of football and take it to the team.

Neil is massively over complicating Blackpool FC winning football matches at the moment.
 
It won’t be easy that’s for sure.

We need to go out an attack them from the off.

Dembele needs to start and hopefully Norburn is back.

It’s never gonna happen I don’t think,but definitely like the look of that if he ever did
 
Have you seen the size of some of their players?

Hopefully we can out football and out think them because on the surface they have more physicality than us.
 
If this was a month ago it’d be an easy three points. Johnson seems to have given their players a bit of belief. And rightly so cos let’s be honest, it’s a shite league and bar Portsmouth there are no outstanding teams, ourselves included.

I hope Critchley plays his best available team and doesn’t worry about how they’re gonna set up. I’d go with the following…

Exactly the same I would go for, except if Norburn isn't fit, I'd go for Morgan rather than Weir

It’s not his style it’s copied from other managers he’s probably looked at Sheffield Wednesday last year and thought it was a good idea but it’s not it’s not working. Last time he was here we would play with one up front they are both negative ways of playing. We can play attacking football as shown once we were down to ten men and 3-0 down we need to set up that way instead of worrying about the opposition.

Would like to see the cods battered but they have stemmed the tide of generosity recently. A tight 1-0 win would satisfy.

Don't know why you are so against 3 5 2, in your line up there are 4 attack minded players, with 3 at the back we can have 5.
