How have you wangled that then? I’ve not had my invitation yet!! And I suspect I’m older (and wiser) than you.Keep 'em coming boys..
Oh and it's this saturday so I've not "went" anywhere yet.
That's what you get for moving to the "shires" living with your Tory toff chums. How have you wangled that then? I’ve not had my invitation yet!! And I suspect I’m older (and wiser) than you.
I think we should be told!!
Yes!!! You silly old duffer.I’ve never had a flu jab and 62 in December and can’t remember last time I had flu. Should I have one?
It's automatic for 65 and above round Blackpool. Only had my first one last year.I’ve never had a flu jab and 62 in December and can’t remember last time I had flu. Should I have one?
Lol!! There are quite a few Tories here I must admit. That's what you get for moving to the "shires" living with your Tory toff chums.
Ours are Saturday morning in our local surgery(in Cheadle Hulme) and I‘m one of the 1000 at BR in the afternoon so hoping for no after affects.I normally get a flu jab what about those currently shielding?
Do people 'unsheild' to get a flu jab and put themselves at higher risk from Covid by doing so?
Doctors waiting rooms are ime poorly ventilated & full of unwell sorts at the best of times!
Its dilemma central
But sadly we spotted the police at their door last week. The disturbing news is that Sid was giving up his guns. I suspect there are more guns within a square mile of where I’m sat than there are in, say, Detroit or Los Angeles.
My question is.....how can I get one?
I’ve only had flu once and I’d happily pay 10x that not to have it again. Thankfully my employer pays for my flu jab every year and I’ll be getting mine in two weeks time.Get the jab every year just booked it at Boots £13.99.
Had Flu three times and if there is even a 10 percent chance of not getting it again for a few pounds I'm in.
Exactly the same here. My appt was 8:16 and was just like you describe. One woman turned up saying "but I've got an appointment I should be able to go straight in". Some-one politely told her "we've all got appointments, get to the back of the queue.".Ours are Saturday morning in our local surgery(in Cheadle Hulme) and I‘m one of the 1000 at BR in the afternoon so hoping for no after affects.
Our times are 9 10 and 9 11 with instructions to form a queue outside at least 2 metres apart, wear a nose and mouth covering face mask and have your sleeve already rolled up for an immediate “jab”...oh and they will check your temperature before you actually enter the building.
Seems like some form of Fast and Furious production line which means I won’t get another sticker saying I’m a “brave Bear“ as i did last year as time won’t permit☹
Still there arguing he should have been given a tangerine one in place of the lemon one he always gets.He only went for the free lollipop
Can’t speak for other surgery’s but me and the wife were through out flu jabs this morning in under 2 to 3 minutes...they had several rooms open and staff a plenty to see everyone through.I normally get a flu jab what about those currently shielding?

You might have had it, not known, then passed it on to 5 other people.I’ve never had a flu jab and 62 in December and can’t remember last time I had flu. Should I have one?
Our surgery is doing flu jabs this coming Tuesday and Wednesday for over 65s in the surgery car park. Just turn up and get one. I can't help feeling having a load of pensioners hanging around a car park in all weather isn't a good idea. You might have had it, not known, then passed it on to 5 other people.
This isn't rocket science.

Yep. Same here. Only ever had it once a few years ago. It takes it out of you. We usually get the jab at school but I'm not sure the pharmacist will come in given the current.Same here. And I thought I was going to die. Couldn't move and could barely breathe. Kept myself awake all night in bed as I was scared to fall asleep. Terrible thing flu.
Yep I had flu in 2009 just before Christmas. ** horrendous, if someone put a million pounds at the side of my bed and all I had to do was get out and touch it I wouldn't have bothered as I felt that ill.Same here. And I thought I was going to die. Couldn't move and could barely breathe. Kept myself awake all night in bed as I was scared to fall asleep. Terrible thing flu.
No.Does the jab make you feel ill?
