With all the singing, standing, scarf wearing conditions, the beautiful game has long gone to the money obsessed corporate greed mongers, it is no longer the beautiful game of the "working class" and to be honest I've really had enough of it.

And after being a pool fan home and away for over 50 years, I've bloody had enough.

Football has become absolute shite šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬

All hell is going to break loose in a few seasons time when the Saudi, UAE and Qatar backed European teams hijack the Champions League and join up to play the Middle East teams that are "hoovering" up European/South American players at the moment. There's going to be seismic shift in the game and not sure how it will look when the dust settles.

The Middle East will never take over football. There is no desire on a global scale for desert football.

I looked at the Saudi League squads there other day and there is 1 and at most 2 European players on their vast squads. And only about 10 of those players could be considered decent. Nothing really to see.

Also to the OP you are feeling like that because the team you love is playing shite. When it turns around you'll get your mojo back.

Not given upā€¦ā€¦..yet!!!!

Must admit Iā€™ve ā€œhad my head turnedā€ by international Rugby Union & one day cricket.

I hate going to Bloomfield Road ā€œSadler & Coā€ are shit scared of the ā€œUseless EFLā€ with their ā€œWoke approachā€ will kill the atmosphere.

The positive discrimination to Womenā€™s Football by the likes of Sky and the BBC has turned me cold.

The club are killing the ā€œTwelfth Man North Standā€ trying to turn it into a Library.

The policing is a 100% Shit Show!

Itā€™s no longer the game I love but canā€™t desert itā€¦ā€¦.yetšŸšŒā›“ļøšŸ§”

Asked a Pool fan at Lincoln Saturday does he come on Avftt his reply reads it the odd time but doesn't post as it just does his head overrun with moaning miserable sods who rarely post anything positive he ain't wrong.

Pointless posting on a football forum if you've fallen out of love with the game.
Where should he post it if not on a football forum???
To be honest I kind of know where he is coming from
I have honestly never felt the same since I missed the seasons through the NAPM days
Before then if we lost I'd be pissed off for a few days
Now I'm pretty much over it by the time I get back to the car
I think that same apathy flows from the very top of our fantastic club at the moment

I love most things about football still. The drama it can provide I'd unique and I've no desire to stand in the isles as I don't think that wood enhance the matchday experience for me! I also don't believe it is my birthright to sing about bodyparts and can't see how it's important to the atmosphere for me to do so.

I think safe standing areas should be provided asap however, it's 2023 and we should be able to organise that safely, (and I do hate VAR with the fire-y passion of a thousand suns though).

And that all I have to say about that.

I'm off to see West Didsbury today, fresh from their 5-1 win at Squires Gate on Saturday. Gate seem to be struggling.

Not all football is impish pain and misery!

For me football is no longer any fun because the money in the game means our ambitions are limited and really have a ceiling.
I think how I felt when we got promoted to the Championship in 2007 to how I felt when we did it last time and it's like night and day and that's because I knew what was coming. To me the Championship is not that magical place any more but a grind and a struggle. We just can't compete with bigger city clubs, parachute payments and even established clubs like Rovers and pne. I'm grateful the Oystons have gone and for SS but it's obvious financially where we are which is a L1 club. Even if we get that right the Championship is waiting to knock us back down again, that's how it feels.
Saying all that I feel guilty when I look at the likes of Oldham fans filling away grounds in the conference or Notts County getting over 10 thousand at home but I suppose they've hit rock bottom and have ambitions and a project to get back higher. I wouldn't want to swap with them but they've got their mojo back...probably just to reach where we are and have the same limitations.

So you want to sing about tits and fannies and for women to remain in the shadows?

Old bloke who votes Conservative by any chance? šŸ˜€

Now that lot really are a shitshow!

So what else are you going to post about if you don't love football?

O/T politics side of the board or do we have to read the constant whinging about the game?

Is this satire ?

Not necessarily, I have lost my faith in politicians but Iā€™ll still vote.šŸ˜

The club should be buzzing, Blackpool is a magic town, absolutely no need for doom and gloom.

The hierarchy at BFC have to get their mojo back. Engage with the fans and get the ground rocking, got to make match days special.

I don't agree they're trying to kill the atmosphere, you can still have a good atmosphere and have some banter between fans without it crossing the line. Do we really need the tits and fannies song to create a good atmosphere? I don't think so, I have no problem with the chant but I would rather chant about our team and our players personally.

The football doesn't bother me as much as it did in my 20s but I think that's normal, I don't build my life around it like I used to because of other commitments. I'm certainly not going to lose my head because we're not very good after five games, I've seen about 6 good seasons in my 30 years of supporting Blackpool and we've started badly in a few of those. If we end up having a mid table League One season it will be disappointing but we've had plenty of disappointing seasons in the past so it's water off a duck's back these days.

How wrong can you be??

Certainly not voting Tory next time spoiling my paper by putting an X on Lib Demā€™s & Tory.

Certainly not voting for the Labour ā€œShit showā€ but when they get to power it will be fun criticising g them for their ā€œbroken economicsā€ as usual.

Iā€™m delighted womanā€™s football has progressed like it has but why should the menā€™s game be starved of news as we never stop having to hear about the ā€œLosing Lionessesā€.

Personally, I have no desire to sing about Tits and Fannyā€™s but itā€™s a ā€œDemocracyā€ FFS.

You obviously want a ā€œWOKE, State-Controlled Countryā€ I want to protect democratic-rights and retain ā€œFreedom Of Speechā€ at any costs. šŸ™„šŸ™„

MAGACorner. Seems to me more like freedom of speech marks ffs.

For the record ā€˜wokeā€™ means to be conscious of and to take action to minimise social injustices.

I absolutely do want a woke country.

They have a cracking fan base at West Didsbury, I hope to take in a game myself at some point. Good crowds for their level, enthusiastic crowd and now own beer.

If the only thing that pisses you off about modern football is not being able to sing about tits and fannies and the coverage of womenā€™s football then your priorities are wrong.

youā€™ll still be gracing us with your wisdom and presence Benny, itā€™s in our blood šŸ§”

Personally I am still suffering from the Ollie years because they were so exciting. Even before that with Wes, Barker, Morrell were fantastic. The football was so good to watch, even when we lost we all applauded. Getting to Premiership was the greatest miracle in English football history. Not Leicester, Notts. Forest but us. We did it in a most wonderful way, despite the awful way the club was run. Now nothing excites, nothing at all. On loan we had Charlie, Shelvey, Coleman, D.J, now we have average or brittle players, Wintle and Patino, excluded. We seem obsessed by signing lower league youngsters who will develop into moneyspinners for the club. It rarely happens. Bowler was already a player who was sold for millions. We are praying rather than planning.

Yes, think back to all those years of the Oystons and keep things in perspective.

I understand you Bennys but if we can get it together on the pitch, that can only help.

Isn't it amusing as people use the word "woke" as an insult when it's meaning has super positive connotations?!

I think they should replace the word "woke" with "nice".

"Sick of you nice lot. I don't want to live in a nice world with nice people like you". Pretty much sums up what they are saying when using it as an insult.

This really should be a piece of cake for a fan owner.

About time we started to see some fan friendly initiatives, that other clubs manage with their random owners.

We seem to have put some good new people in place, but as always they've to prove themselves.

Football isn't fun at Bloomfield Road right now because we are in the unenviable position of shit performances giving no results and no entertainment. We can tolerate one or the other, and ideally we want entertaining wins, hopefully a bit of quality comes in this week and we turn a corner.

what woke meant then and what it means now are different. The meaning of the word is changing. Why? Because the left wing use it to brainwash others with their pc correctness. In a woke world everything to them should be grey.

No it's not. Have a look in the dictionary.

It's being misused. Similar to how the term "do-gooder" was used to try and belittle someone who is perceived to be overly helpful.

Like i said, the meaning of the word is changing. It's pretty easy to find what I've said. Plenty of words have had meanings which have changed. Are they all being mis-used? Anyway, it's no big deal, so I'm not gonna get over fussed about it.

Iā€™d argue itā€™s being used incorrectly and somehow as some sort of insult. Iā€™d also suggest most people with whom the term ā€˜wokeā€™ is aimed at as an insult donā€™t actually find it insulting. I think I find it being used in a derogatory way just about as cringe and embarrassing as I do our fans singing the ā€˜oh Lancashireā€™ song. Typically itā€™s the same people.
Absolutely no shame in being woke and Iā€™m as woke as they come - proudly so.

Absolutely this

Football has always been 99% shit.

It's the 1% we go for.
I agree. Since my first match in 1968 the build up and chat, meeting old mates has nearly always been ruined by the football. My ideal Saturday was set off at 12, go to Paris Casino, have a burger do a quiz. Have a quick flutter watch us play attacking football and back to casino for final pint. Home at 6.30. Such joy.

When the dust does finally settle, at the risk of sounding somewhat predictable, and a tad lacking in originality, the game will look very much as though it has been hit by a - seismic shift!

I you hope you're all suitably impressed with the depth of my extraordinary fortune-telling powers ...

100% Agree.

Football is ā€œbrokenā€

Watching Cricket & Rugby Union Live is now SO much better.

For me ā€œFairy WOKE Football Fansā€ can now go & ā€œStew In Their Own Pissā€ and watch Saudi Football on TV whilst community clubs ā€œdie on their kneesā€ due to shit governance of the game by the FA/EFLšŸ™„šŸ™„

Football also stops being fun when you expect to win every game.
Half the appeal of supporting Blackpool was to take that away!
