Surely the sort of stats is what decides if he stays or goes? Sorry, those sort of stats SHOULD be what decides his fait. But it’s not upto the fans is it? It’s upto SS if he wants to sack him and surely if he does bullshit cant be far behind for appointing him can he??
The fact he is in the group of managers sacked is a worry in itself, no?So he's not the worst then?
I’m not disagreeing with you i’m just saying it’s upto the owner…it won’t be cheap paying off his contract? Which tbh seemed generous length wise…..Then the finding a new manager ..again not easy as i’m guessing budget ain’t gonna get the kinda manager fans want…Surely the sort of stats is what decides if he stays or goes? If we were playing well and just being really unlucky, then fair enough. But we are woeful at best. Attacking manager apparently!!! How many games have we played without having a shot on target?
There is surely a break clause. My guess is we would have to pay up to a 12 month mark and no more.I’m not disagreeing with you i’m just saying it’s upto the owner…it won’t be cheap paying off his contract? Got to be some sort of release clause in a 4 year deal. If not, they all deserve a sacking! There is surely a break clause. My guess is we would have to pay up to a 12 month mark and no more.
That makes absolute no sense Smith who wins 3 out of ten is on 38% but Appleton who's won none is on 48% yet DS he had 11 points out of 10 games MA 4.…on whether Appleton should be sacked or given time.
Below is a table of managers that have been sacked in the Championship this season (and Appleton), the % of games they lost since the start of the season, there last 10 games (if they managed to last that long) and how many wins in that last 10.
How has he still got a job?

Loss % is based on games this season, not the last 10. Smith lost 9 of 24 games. Appleton 13 of 27. Stats don’t lie. That makes absolute no sense Smith who wins 3 out of ten is on 38% but Appleton who's won none is on 48% yet DS he had 11 points out of 10 games MA 4.
O'Neil 4 out of 15 available
Who worked out these percentages what a stupid thread.
Lowest expected goals with the attacking players we have is mad.
Lowest expected goals with the attacking players we have is mad.
It's only to be expected, with our top scorer sat on the bench getting splinters in his arris.Lowest expected goals with the attacking players we have is mad.
Even then with Bowler, Rogers, CJ, 2 attacking mids and madine up top to hold up play, it's absolutely tragic. It's only to be expected, with our top scorer sat on the bench getting splinters in his arris.
Strikers are confidence players & giving Jerry 20 mins on the pitch, won't do his confidence any good whatsoever.
How on earth is that the best situation? We haven't won in ten and it's clear that with him we are going down. There is often a new manager bounce and we desperately need things to change. The best situation right now is to stick with him, get the 3 players in we need and see what happens irrespective of the end result. Bringing in a new Manager will take time, a lot of toolheads on hear dont know what the answer is.
We need more attack minded players in the team. 6 obviously isn't enough
According to BBC Sport: 2 shots + 1 on target.Surely the sort of stats is what decides if he stays or goes? Sorry, those sort of stats SHOULD be what decides his fait.

No comparisons… the guy is a fraud!According to BBC Sport: 2 shots + 1 on target.
Compare that to your average Holloway game
Aye but he blagged it to two championship playoffs, one of which was successful. We went down with 35 points (I think). Not bad under karlis the clown. Followed it up with another playoff at Wembley... where we were robbed. No comparisons… the guy is a fraud!
39 points so even more unlucky to go down.Aye but he blagged it to two championship playoffs, one of which was successful. We went down with 35 points (I think). Not bad under karlis the clown. Followed it up with another playoff at Wembley... where we were robbed.
Just sayin...
Thanks Trammo39 points so even more unlucky to go down.
I was on about Appleton being the fraud haha! The football under Ollie was worlds apart from this shambles we currently play.Aye but he blagged it to two championship playoffs, one of which was successful. We went down with 35 points (I think). Not bad under karlis the clown. Followed it up with another playoff at Wembley... where we were robbed.

That can't be right because the performance was fine, apparently.
Fait acompli!Surely the sort of stats is what decides if he stays or goes? Sorry, those sort of stats SHOULD be what decides his fait.

I’ll write the letter for him and sign it ‘Phil, your friend’But it’s not upto the fans is it? It’s upto SS if he wants to sack him and surely if he does bullshit cant be far behind for appointing him can he??
CorrectThere is surely a break clause. My guess is we would have to pay up to a 12 month mark and no more.
39 points ( which was absolutely magnificent and has never been relegated since)Aye but he blagged it to two championship playoffs, one of which was successful. We went down with 35 points (I think). 10 new players won’t make a difference if they’ve as woefully mismanaged as the current crop. We’ve turned into a clueless niggly outfit with no clear style or plan. Oh and we don’t win football matchesThe best situation right now is to stick with him, get the 3 players in we need and see what happens irrespective of the end result. Bringing in a new Manager will take time, a lot of toolheads on hear dont know what the answer is.
The biggest white flag is on the pitch...they are not playing for him...as for the forest win...cooper made 11 changes and sturridge missed a hatfull.Lots of points to play for. Clearly SS isn’t going to pot him. Let’s get behind them ffs. So many surrender monkeys in the BFC ranks it’s disappointing. White flag wavers everywhere.
Grim reading that!!
Surely the only reason he still has the job is that he's on a long term contract? But it’s not upto the fans is it? It’s upto SS if he wants to sack him and surely if he does bullshit cant be far behind for appointing him can he??
Huddy?I go to the gym and drink with Mark Hudson he's never told me he was a manager. He would probably do as good/bad as those mentioned
Is it poss that Appleton didn’t want the job after seeing his wages, player budget etc….and the 4 year deal got it over the line?Surely the only reason he still has the job is that he's on a long term contract?
If he had a 2 years contract he would be gone already.
Who gave him 4 years? Mansford I presume.
SS should get rid of MA and Mansford at the same time.
Who knows? Is it poss that Appleton didn’t want the job after seeing his wages, player budget etc….and the 4 year deal got it over the line?
