For us non-tech guys.

I am definately not an expert on tech matters but was happy to give the new digital ticket a go. Just read through the instructions about downloading/using and for me it's just a bit too much to follow so I'll be getting a card. Those who are tech savvy please don't come on with your sarky comments about how simple it is. I'm happy for those, young and more mature, that have no problems with modern technology. I'm just warning my fellow non-tech people it's not as simple as it sounds. If it all works for the first match I will be delighted but I certainly have my doubts. I can see chaos and queues.

On another subject related to tech issues, I’ve mistakenly sent an email from a company I use to junk, how do I undo that?

I’m not Bill Gates or anything but you press add to apple wallet it then shows ticket and you press add in top right hand corner and that’s it. To access it on a match day you open your phone wallet and it’s in there.
Just a suggestion but possibly give it a try before giving up on it completely.

Some of use Android devices so not much use adding to an Apple wallet (just being a smart arse 😉)

I've already ordered a card, and guess what. Even though I live approx 75- 80 miles from the ticket office, I have to go there to pick it up. They are not being posted out.

Thank you for the advice but with the greatest of respect it might help if I knew what an Apple Wallet was ! Or perhaps more importantly how/where to get one. I believe I'm a android user. I think I'll just pay the £20 even though I'm not too pleased with the club for charging this particularly after paying £499 for a ST.

If you're on Android, you should just be able to add it to the Google Wallet app

You will not have an Apple wallet if you are an android user.

Go to play store on your phone. Download Googlepay app (its free). Then you can add your cards safely to pay for meals, clothes fuel etc using your phone. When the email from the club is sent follow their instructions to download your season ticket to Google pay and its there like a card,
Try it, its really very easy if you take your time. Its actually safer than a card.

Not being funny Wilf, but to use your season ticket you've got to be at the ground anyway, so just pick it up when you're there on 5th August. I appreciate there is a 20 minute loss of drinking time but it's just the once. Come into the Broomfield Brewhouse and I'll buy you a pint to compensate.

'I can see chaos and queues'

So, not only is this whole sorry saga causing you undue stress and anxiety, it seems you've started hallucinating as well! Have you thought about making an appointment with your GP?
