I remember it well. Got tickets in the Southampton stand and was sat behind an old family friend who had moved to Southampton years previously to work on cruises. Small world.

I went on the coach to the 2-1 loss. Went in the Tower disco till the early hours then got the coach about 4am to Southampton before our usual late goal exit!

Yes I went on that football special too. I can recall some aggro in the stand where the Blackpool fans were and one or two were thrown out by the stewards before the game began. Can’t remember the circumstances but my vague recollection was that it was a bit harsh. Anybody else remember that ?
