Hi everyone
I have a brand new 12 Litre Halogen oven. Unopened box that I would dearly love to donate to a family in need.
I only want to give this to somebody that’s in need
If anybody knows of a family that could make use of this item then please feel free to contact me.
Maybe somebody from BST who does lots for families especially at this time of year
I will also be doing my annual gift hampers for a young baby and one for an elderly person.
Thanks all for taking the time to read this.

May sound daft, but go and ask a local vicar. They often know of people in crisis. A few years ago I donated an unwanted fridge and oven via a local vicar to someone who through no fault of their own had found themselves desperate.

All very nice gestures 4Eva and I'm sure all the recipients will be very appreciative.

I once tried donating 3-4 bags of food to amazing Grace food kitchen and nobody came to pick it up. I had no way of taking it to them at the time
The foodbank setup in Blackpool is a bit of an operation... Blackpool Food Bank have a warehouse where they stockpile all the donations from shops in the area, plus they get donations direct from food manufacturers and supermarket distribution centres - for example Warburtons drop off a lorry load of stuff weekly. They have vans which go round to the supermarkets regularly and collect donations. They then prepare parcels and distribute them to the local small food banks who pass them on to those in need. So it's a bit different from the small charities and church halls you see on the telly.

Very nicely done OP. 😎 We really need to find a way to recycle or utilise our unwanted items.

Earlier this year I bought a property that was fully furnished, the old couple both died so their niece was selling it with EVERYTHING included. I mean furniture, fridge, microwave, bread maker, toaster even all the wardrobes were full of their clothes! I gave away most of the kitchen stuff to relatives, someone took the brand new recliner but nobody, including charities, wanted the sofa, beds and other furniture, which was practically new, but old fashioned, because they didn't have fire safety tags. I ended up paying the Council to take away 10 big items. I paid private man and van for lots of other stuff and dumped all the clothes at Tesco clothes bank. The charity place on Talbot Road, Layton took some bric a brac and a place on Cherry Tree Rd took some too. But they were very picky.

Typical then not long after I saw a few posts on Facebook from families needing everything. It just made me feel a bit sad.

British Heart Foundation do, along with furniture & loads of other stuff. They'll collect bulky items.
They resell much of it through Ebay.

I've stopped giving to all high st charities they make the town centre more of an eyesore.

I was going to send all my stuff to them but the one on Church Street burnt down and their online/telephone facility couldn't take most stuff.
