Hmmmmmmmmmm. Methinks an element of Big Time Charlie who only pulls his finger out in the big televised games. That bad today was willing the Critch to bring CJ on 😀

He got no service!!
Often unmarked on touchline but hardly got a pass.
Constantly hoofing high balls to Lavery, was ridiculous!
He always gives 100% & gets stuck in but game passed him by,as did our players!

I guess we'll never know what instructions the players were given so it's difficult to work out if the player was a poor wingback or just a restricted wingback. Former performances suggest he's a very good wingback so perhaps he was restricted or maybe he just had a bad day at the office. Either way, IMO, he's one of the best players at this football club and I'll forgive him the occasional average game!

some on here seem to think if CJ beats a man for pace he's playing well. they seem to forget that pkaying well is about what you do with the ball and CJ apart from one decent ball in was awful.

When CJ got the ball he looked surprised and confused as to what to do next. Constantly played the ball behind him which doesn’t help, play it it front and don’t let him think

It appears the one person who no-one has mentioned is Kouassi.
I haven’t seen anything from him at all to suggest he will be an asset to our team and for a big guy he’s not the best at holding the ball up and his distribution and first touch are very poor. I thought he was totally ineffective when he came on and I’d rather have Madine any day and that is a sad indictment.
Or maybe someone saw something in him that I missed.

When he pushed their player over though that was funny, misplaced the pass after that though, but he bullied him there.

CJ for all his faults continually runs at his man, beats him and gets a cross in the box. Over the course of the season we’ve had a lot of success through him and yet he still gets criticised time and time again.

He’s not a world beater, he isn’t going to run rings around defences like Bowler, but he puts in a shift and is effective at this level.

The one thing that seems to have been missed is that their keeper had a decent game making a couple of good saves, and form memory as it was at the far end there was one scramble where the ball didn't go in.

I thought Gabriel was alright. Didn’t do anything for me to suggest he had a bad game.

CJ meanwhile, he’s a fraud. Got pace, I’ll give him that, but nothing else. Not good enough.

Sorry mate (honestly), you are watching a different player to me.

The most important question we need to be asking is how do we fit Gabriel and Hamilton into the starting line up together? It shouldn't be one or the other. Dembele is brought into the game by Hamilton. Gabriel...who is a talented player for League 1....didn't do that on Saturday and it showed with some of our attacking play. He seemed reluctant to cross the halfway line. Surely he wasn't instructed to do that?

Appears you are watching a different player. End product is lacking. Doesn’t often pick out a player with a cross, has one foot, has 0 skill other than pace, can’t control a ball for toffee… as already used and a comment used regular around me, he can’t trap a bag of cement. What I will say in his favour, is he is played out of position. He is an out and out left winger, not a right wing back. He isn’t the type of player who can cut in for me, he’s an old fashioned get down the wing and cross type, so if played correctly my opinion could change. But based on it currently, not good enough.

Gabriel is part of a match day squad he will come up against different opposition and formation, teams will try to nullify him and all other players in our team. Some of the people on here like to make a judgement on a player after a performance. Theres nothing wrong with Gabriel if given a good run of games.

CJ had Kouassi to aim at and still missed.

Lavery was anonymous everywhere. So any ball that went into him was lost.

We have an issue where we have 1 superb striker and 3 rank average ones.

If Rhodes isn't available. Joseph should be playing up front on his own.

JG is my favourite player. Far too many times, he didn't look to attack which isn't like him. He just played the simple ball and didn't bomb on. When he and Bowler were together, they were brilliant going forward. Makes me think he's either playing within himself or he's simply playing the system he's been told to do.

You play Hamilton on the left, after all he is left footed and Gabriel on the right. Simples!
