GAME OFF TOMORROW

Are you going to Scarborough at home?

Forest green didn't sign troy deeney in time.

Remember please the great Billy Ayre,

He was once a player of thine.

Bookings in the Cup do count.
We had all this with King Kenny and I explained the rules then.
Yellows are competition specific.

Its different rules for red cards which can be applied across all competitions.

I'll take your word for it.😁

The interesting thing is that the FA are still investigating. If it’s a simple case of an ineligible player, then why the need for further investigation? And why has it taken so long? It must be something more complicated, some sort of grey area.

Still ridiculous that they decided so late. The last thing we need is a host of games just before Xmas with 4 games scheduled already between the 23rd and 1st.

If we continue in the same fashion, we could be named as possible finalists before we even reach the quarters! 😂
In the first ever FA Cup, Queens Park reached the semi-final without playing a match. This was through a combination of byes and disagreements as to where to stage their games. As it happens they drew with Wanderers in Glasgow but couldn't afford to travel to London for the replay, giving Wanderers a bye into the final, where they beat Royal Engineers.

The FGR owner should compensate their fans who have splashed out for rail tickets and accommodation, oh wait a minute he’s spent all his money funding those Just Stop Oil wankers!

I reckon whats happened is someone at the FA said after R1 we've had a complaint from Scarborough.

Oh, pop it on the side and we'll look later.

Fast forward to Dec 1 and a suit says I've got Scarborough on the phone wanting to know what happened.

Shit! the other suit said. I'd forgotten all about that.

We better get on to Blackpool and tell them the game is off.

No complaint from Scarborough apparently.

It sounds like it is either about the emergency loan keeper or akid from their academy who played who wasn't properly registered.

I’ve no idea how it works but, in my simplistic way all the team line-ups are submitted to the FA on Saturday when they are announced. Then possibly on the Monday or Tuesday all the information is fed into a computer and any anomalies are red flagged. It’s hardly that they are entering all the information onto an excel spreadsheet......but then again..!!

Absolutely scandalous timing for all concerned. Hope all those disadvantaged are compensated....but then again.

I have exclusive info from Mr Parsley, who is something of a sage, he told my wife Rosemary that the thyme isn't right for the Scarbourgh potential tie. In the meantime I'll just get mi coat...

On the goalie speculation.
James Belshaw joined FGR on a 7 day emergency loan on 30 Sep. He has appeared in every game since with the same sub keeper on the bench, Jamie Searle. First choice keeper Luke Daniels appears to be still injured. There's nothing wrong with renewing emergency loans on a week by week basis but if you forget one week that probably will have consequences. Just speculation on my part and it could be a load of tripe.

What would have happened if we had played the tie and they'd discovered an infringement from the 1st round?

How far back do they go?

I bet a few FGR fans have already come up. A bit tough on them.
It will be even more annoying, for both sets of fans if the investigation concludes that FGR have not broken the rules and can stay in the competition. The only saving grace is if the match would have been postponed because of the weather.

It appears there are slightly different rules for EFL and FA regarding emergency loans. Possibly they renewed with EFL but forgot to do with FA.

Sounds like the emergency loan must be registered 24 hours prior to the cup tie. Their keeper is apparently on a week by week emergency loan. So maybe they forgot to do it for the first round but did it yesterday morning and the FA suddenly realised there was a problem? Guess we will find out eventually.
