Currently top of the Scottish championship, background in youth development, seemed hard done by at Salford. I’ve absolutely no idea how we played under him, but as we love to bring back former employees, could do a job?

I thought under the circumstances of the dreaded "O's" he did a sterling job.

Did a good job previously, but I think another previous manager coming back would be on thin ice with a lot of fans right from the start to be honest

Chaddy’s right. And if we were going to reemploy former management figures, what would be wrong in Bowyer as Director of Football and Steve Thompson as Head of Recruitment? Both could then be on hand to advise the new coaching staff if required as well.

Met him, nice guy, popular with players and did a good job in difficult circumstances.

I thought he did a good job at Blackpool and always seemed sensible and enthusiastic when interviewed. His win percentage at Salford and Dundee is over 50% and he has a good pedigree in youth development. He is only 51 so may not be wanting a Director of Footballl role at this stage especially with him currently doing well at Dundee, but that could be a future role. He may not even want to come back to Blackpool and some of our supporters can't seem to get over managers who worked during the O era.
I think we are going to have to pay a premium to get a decent, experienced manager, as we have sacked 3 of the 4 managers after short tenures under Sadler. May be better to go for someone like Pete Wild or who is an up and coming coach / assistant
