GMP Police

Strangely when the flags are Gaza ones and not football ones the police are pacifists and don't want to know, any thoughts why this is the case?
Yep, because at briefings, the Senior Officers will be directing that policy, especially within the Metropolitan Police districts.

Like most professions there are elements that can't do their job, but Id challenge any of the Anti-Police agenda driven folks to spend a week trying to do their job and put up with the insane crap and abuse received every day and see if they had the same opinions. I very much doubt it.

Walked past that marquee about 1230. Looked like it was shut, and had been for months.
Walked in to Whelans bar for the 2nd Yr running
Definitely not shut and they were specifically inviting fans in.
As I don’t drink and drive( though I did drown my sorrows with the odd glass or two of wine when I got home, would have done the same had we drawn or won mind you) can’t comment on wether it was worth going in but there were a fair few in but not packed out.
Watch the last 20 minutes of the Swans v the Bluebirds on the big screen.Amusing to see the Blackpool connection with Bowler,Whintle and Patinio on but no Jerry…well if he was he wasn’t mentioned.

In that case they need to address that policy because right now these Gaza protesters in London are getting away with tons of shit because they've realised they can do it with no consequences which is never a good situation.

... and hooligan looked to thug and the thug looked to hooligan and who could say which is which anymore? (With apologies for marmalising Orwell).

I opted out of the train option even though the journey for me would have been free ( well ok not quite as it costs me £10 a year to add it to my GMPTE OAP bus pass) because I’d have to change trains 3 times and wouldn’t have been home until close to 7 30 and that was asuming I’d get to Wigan Wallgate in time which judging by events last season and what happened yesterday would actually seem highly unlikely. So I drove the 38 miles paid £5 for parking and was home just after 6😁.
However what struck me was when I arrived and walked to the ground from the designated away parking was every copper I passed towards and around the away end ( and there were lots of them) had their riot helmets with them which I can’t say I have ever witnessed anywhere previously. It seemed to me they were expecting and having seen the video above it would seem even hoping for trouble.
As for how they deal with getting away fans back to the railway station or even the town centre it seems they are clueless looking at both the videos including the Bolton one.
We often see posts re the policing by Lancashire Constabulary but GMP seem even more inept.Wonder if they”ll be as heavy handed at Old Trafford today.🤔with Liverpool having been allocated 9211 away tickets😂
Have to admit, we found it strange that every police officer had their Aggro Helmet coupled to their belt.

You do get the impression some of them can't wait for something to ignite!
