Noticed last weekend when we were on top their goalie suddenly goes down, trainer on, team run over to manager for new tactics
Game restarts with changes to their formation
It seems now that if an outfield player needs trainer on they will go off for 30 seconnds but not a keeper so any time the team need to slow game down keeper will need treatment

TOugh to allow a game to continue with 10 outfields players.

Far easier to allow it to continue with 9 outfield players and a goalkeeper.

Not sure the solution.

Law states that injury treatment has to be completed OFF the FoP. The referees need to test players’ resolve and either leave them lying down or (if legitimate) send them to the touchline for treatment. The solution is already there - but referees are not strong enough.

I've often thought that when a player is 'injured', or not as the case is sometimes, the player should be taken off the field.
The manager would soon have him back on his feet.

Goalkeepers are excepted from the requirement to leave the field.

A few seasons ago there was a clampdown by referees against Gareth Ainsworth's Wycombe when data showed that a Wycombe player went down injured very game between 20 and 25 minutes into each half. Need to be vigilant on similar shenanigans by goalkeepers.

Orient definitely did this last week, it was like a boxer using the full count to clear his head before getting to his feet and continuing.
Thing is we only landed the slightest of punches on them!!
Refs will fall for it every time and we will see more and more goalkeeper 'injuries' this season, I'm sure of it.

Simply stop players wandering over to the touchline for "drinks/coaching" when a player is "injured" and needing treatment.
If they do they should be booked and that would stop it.
It's happening far to often these days. 90% of the time it's a tactic to break up play when the other team are having a good spell.

There is an exception if the injured party is the goalkeeper, they have to remain on the field of play

A few seasons ago they bought a stretcher on to get the "injured" player off to be "treated" so that the game could continue without delay. But like all other "laws" after a while it was ignored. Bringing that back would stop the time wasting.
