I loved Dobbie as a player he understands the club and the town. I’m sure he’ll get the fans backing. If he gets the team playing with pride and passion it’ll be an improvement on McCarthy.
 
My heart wants Dobbie to succeed, save us from relegation and get the job permanently, my head is saying I can’t see another win and that to me is a poor baptism of fire for Dobbies first attempt at main management. Hope he said yes with no strings attached. Good luck Dobbie hope you get them to go down fighting 👍

Yeah 6 games with a confused, no confidence and threadbare squad is tough.

However if we see positive signs then that'll be a plus.
 
Simon should say to Stephen that if he has a good end to the season even if we still go down the job is his with say Charlie as assistant at least we will see adventurous football. By the way did Mick drop that plonker Mansfield at the train station on his way out👋
 
I am backing Dobbie to set us up to attack with Fiorini as the catalyst in midfield feeding Bowler Rodgers Poveda and Jerry. The perfect 6 is on, then Charlie will join him in the dugout.

Depends if he gets performances and results.

Like with Critchley at times we were like WTF but it worked more often than not.

Plus I think he's almost got a free hit here, the damage has been done.
 
I feel letting Dobbie have a go now is like bringing a sub on late in the game (88 minutes gone) expecting them to help pull back a 3 goal deficit. Good luck to him though.
 
I was going to post 'free hit' but I see that’s already been covered above. As far as I’m concerned this season is gone and if he can do more than we expect then great, if not it shouldn’t count against him. At least it will provide a little bit of extra interest to the end of the season. Maybe the Wigan game won’t just be a nervy slog to decide who finishes bottom. Good luck to him.

We are on a hiding to nothing at the moment. In for a penny in for a pound. Debbie is a seasiders hero.
 
I'd love to see Dobbs do so well as interim manager that he gets given it full time that would be immense . Unlikely but brilliant . Stranger things happen
 
It's a unique opportunity to give a very popular person time in charge of the team when it's impossible to tarnish his popularity or reputation. I hope he does really well, finally someone who the fans can genuinely get behind, albeit only for six games.
