Great result but the game was made poor by a rock hard pitch. They threw elbows and left a foot in whenever there was an opportunity. UTMP!

Missed that Doc.
Critch was chatting to him, seemed very friendly. You don't talk to players who have left one on your players during the game. I think he could potentially be a loan. A young big horrible handful who put himself about a bit. He chased down everything he could.

He's a big lad for 19, you never know. Though Neil Critchley seems to have either coached or know of everyone who has played U21 football in england in the last five years so I wouldn't read too much into it. Otherwise after what he said about Owen Dale the other day he's definitely on his way here.

It's great to have a bit of positive speculation. UTMP!

Good solid OP. Straight off the front foot and a middle of the bat stroke played with confidence and assurance.

Not a question of is he back, but has he ever been away?

could Kaikai have been pulled from the starting line up because of the pitch?
Could be. Either way it worked out well. He's essential for the playoffs, the player I'd least like to lose at the vital moment.

Quote from Critch in the post match interview:
"Just right at the end of the warmup Sullay felt his hamstring similar to what he felt at Sunderland. He wanted to play, we worked with him on the physio bed and it was fine - but cos he said that I took that decision out of his hands, he wanted to give it a go but I wasn't willing to let him do that - so I made the decision to bring Elliot in"

Could well be that the pitch caused him to feel it though, good decision to not play him either way considering how many were going down.

Yep. Good solid leadership from Critchko. He’s learning his trade. 👍🏻👍🏻

Glad Kai Kai was pulled yesterday - we don’t want another injured for the rest of the season - we probably have 5 matches left and a few penalties !

Northampton were poor but we made them look that way.
They have an impressive home record in recent weeks including the mauling of Ipswich and Pompey.

No problem with the opposition being shit. You still have to deal with them and we did it comfortably. That’s a very positive sign; especially after the Rochdale and Shrewsbury games.
