3 weeks ago. Almost certainly With a cloned key and nicked to order…at 9.25pm
What it’s taught me…..
The Police are an utter waste of time and are not interested one bit….you get a crime reference number over the phone and that’s it.
Modern cars with keyless ignitions are easy to nick
Insurance Companies are very very slow with a high value claim and do not provide a courtesy car as standard… we have been lucky enough to borrow my Mum‘s 24 years old Astra and it’s been a privilege to be able to do so otherwise we’d be hiring at £200 or so a week
My main recommendation would be to go old school and get a steering wheel lock and put it on every night …..they obvs staked our car out, as it were….I‘be got the footage of it being nicked from our security camera and the lad is down the road straight to our drive then in the car and away within 30 seconds (with his hood up of course)
My other main point is to expect nothing at all from the Police because you’ll get nowt
