I'm confident it'll be a decent game of football against 2 sides who will be going for a win. They're top because they are both good and consistent. That said, on our day, we are as good as any team in this division. With them bringing over 2000 I'm expecting an excellent atmosphere also. The truth is we just need to keep winning, doesn't matter if it's a top or bottom of the league side. Roll on Saturday.

They'll go at us in a 4-2-3-1 and get up the pitch quickly to keep the pressure on with their front four. A bit like the two Peterborough home games. Any weakness they'll find it and use it.

A lot of things aligned for us at their place and it stopped them from building any momentum in the second half and allowed the other Blackpool team to show itself, the one where it becomes a nice game to play in. Unlikely we'll see lightning strike twice in our favour.

I think it's more the impending doom of a Tuesday night away game at Northampton straight after it that feels like it renders the whole thing moot either way for me at the moment. And such has been this season to date.

We can't even entertain the possibility of it being anything other than a victory!

For heaven's sake, you've surely only to cast your mind back to the spirit of Henry V and the battle of Agincourt ...
I'm old, but not that old! 🤣

They will no doubt be seeking revenge, and that could be their downfall.

We are all fur coat and no knickers, but I think the underwear will be on full show on Saturday with a flashy Pool performance and a 3pt showing.

Probs a score draw. I had this ad a draw on prediction table. I had us with 6 wins n 3 draws n 1 loss. 6th place 11 points behind Peterborough. No worries if we draw this game. A win would b great!

Shit !!!! We can hardly win a game against 1 team never mind 2.

Just got one thing to say in response to that: turning point ...

some pompey lad on their site is getting pelters for saying “on their day Blackpool are the best side in this league”. It’s just that our day doesn’t come around as frequently as we would like.

oh i voted for a home win.

It's reported that Pompey have up to 11 players missing through injury. They've had to make an emergency signing of a midfield player (Evans) who was released by Ipswich and he isn't yet fit to play.
With the right selection, format and tactics - 'get at em from the off', this game is there for the taking. Then we'll be right in the mix for the play offs.

The 4-0 win at their gaff flattered us, I don't expect tomorrow to be as flattering but it's just as winnable. There's little we can do about the team selection, formation or tactics but the 12th man can make a huge difference... If we turn up, the team usually step up! Get behind the lads and let's make a push for promotion! 🧡

Heart says Pool win.
Heads say Pompey win.
So probably a draw. A couple of months ago I would have taken that but to entertain any (slim) hopes of getting into the play-offs we need wins at this stage in proceedings.
