Had a shock last night !!!

I live in Stoke Mandeville Bucks , i moved into a new house about 18 months ago and the bloke right opposite me pretty much keeps himself to himself so i've never really spoken to him for more than a few minutes at a time , anyway here's the shocking bit - i got home from a walk about 7 o'clock last night to see him faffing with his lawn in a Preston top !!! wtf , well i'm straight over there getting right into him - even more shocking is he's a top bloke if i'm honest ( he's also a copper in the Met police ) he actually said to me " i can't believe i live opposite a Lasher ) to be fair to him he's got a season ticket and goes to most home games , he even admitted the atmosphere at Deepdale is woeful !! so the weekends game suddenly takes on even more importance - COME ON YOU POOL

We met a really nice family whilst away last year & after chatting for a while he noticed the dogs Blackpool collar & lead. After much laughter he took our picture to show his son who apparently hates Blackpool fans. I’ll look out for him this year at the same event. That’s how it should be. 👍
 
Met a Nobber on a cruise he lived in Cleveleys and was a shareholder. Got stung by Hemmings that week too when he lashed out 6p for each share .

Lol. I know Met police officers have been in the news for misbehaving but making him wear a Preston shirt and forcing him to have a season ticket seems a harsh punishment.

Reminds me of the time I was travelling in South East Asia and took a flight from Hong Kong to Vietnam and found out the bloke sat next to me was a Preston fan from Leyland who was out there travelling on business. Quickly changed the atmosphere of that flight!
 
I’ve got a pet Nobber too. He’s managed to learn rudimentary English which is quite impressive really but can’t help himself with the constant misuse of the word ‘on’ which he doesn’t seem to apply appropriately?

Fortunately he has no real contact with his sister which is probably how he managed to learn basic English - less distractions?

Naturally he’s suffering horrific delusion issues and gets confused about boycotts and owners but overall I’m impressed with its ability for such a base creature to operate in polite society in the way it does 👍

That's the visitors, visitors are people who travel to a town for a day out or holiday and to enjoy themselves, enjoyment is taking pleasure from a towns many attractions.

I realise these concepts are alien to someone from a failing mill town, but at least you have the prison and bus station.

Not very comprehensive, but whatever.

But at least not 1st for once, miles behind Liverpool and Plymouth on the scores. Basically the same as Cambridge and Bournemouth.

Not surprising one of the poorest areas in the country has some people searching about house issues, amazing.

Fly tipping recorded to the authorities, so if not reported then not counted, could be tons of unreported rubbish, so a waste of time really there. Considering all the littering etc from tourists it's surprising it isn't higher.

How did they know, given Blackpool has millions of visitors that it's not some people from outside searching about their home, they don't.

All in all, a bit of a waste of time that.

You proudly posted the special report, along with some top humour I have to say, least I could do was have a look at it.

I know there's not a lot to do in Warton after dark, the most exciting think is when you gather round to watch the traffic lights change.

As you know I've said, if we go down it'll be disappointing but not fatal, I want to win but I'll get over it if we don't.

Again, as I said to JJ. I do not live in Warton or Preston so these 'facts' are pretty irrelevant.

My original point was about Blackpool being dirty, which it is. I am not sure how anyone can deny that. Confirming Preston isn't sunny is hilarious. Cheers for that.

Unfortunately, B_Side, I will not be taking the 'he finds the big words hard to understand' by someone who doesn't know how to use the correct 'your' and 'you're'....

I am not sure what I have done/said that shows I am not a reasonable poster. Back in January after your signings, I said that I believed you would stay up. That thought is now dwindling (especially after we put 7 past you on Saturday).

We can have disagreements about many things, and we have. But I have never seen you swear in a post to me before hence why I said you were 'rattled'.
 
One good thing to come out of Warton.
MrsDP lived with her 1st Husband in Warton when I met her.
The rest, as they say, is history. Of course that was over 50 years ago.
So at least one good thing came out of Warton.😄😄

Wasn't it.....Hemmings bought all the shares at £0.5p as PNE were going to go bankrupt in 2010 because of a HMRC winding up order...

Hemmings bought the club for £170k and put £100m in.....and he got sweet FA.....not even a little trophy

So your father in law was quite lucky to get 5p.....I think he got the better deal

No, I don't live in Fleetwood. I don't live anywhere near the Fylde anymore. Missus is from Fleetwood and her old man owns said cab company. Very good service if you ever want to order one...

I've called people out on this forum before. It's not as if I run off scared and don't say anything here, JJ.
