Has anyone actually enjoyed watching us?

Is anyone actually enjoying this season? Have been to every home game which have been dire and went to Rotherham and Huddersfield and can honestly say that I have come away (even when we've not lost) lacking that 'that was enjoyable' feeling. Almost like we are just there to be there rather than anticipating a good game of football.
Second season syndrome, loss of players, manager, board .. who knows.

We're a poor watch

Have turned off before games have finished on a few occasions. Have little intention of making any long trips to watch live on this season's performances so far.

Yes I have apart from last night and one or two 45 minute performances but in general I’ve been warming to Appleton as the season is progressing and I’m one who didn’t really like the appointment to begin with.

This knee jerk we are great/we are shocking after every game is getting a bit ridiculous.I’ll judge it on a run of poor performances which we haven’t seen yet.

I’ve seen flashes of us being brilliant, sadly we don’t seem to be able to maintain it for more than 5 minutes. Enjoyed some games more than others.

I’ve enjoyed the games I’ve seen , other than Rotherham. We have played some quality football at times , as well as some crap but I’m grown up enough to take the rough with the smooth and not expect too much while our Great club is still trying to put a long term plan into place ! UTMP.

the Burnley game was a good watch, as was Bristol City, bits and pieces against Blackburn and QPR. we have shown the odd five to ten minutes here and there and a decent first twenty against reading. Swansea was disappointing, as it was close but it wasnt a match that you could say was particularly entertaining

For the last two years I expected us to be competitive against anyone, and even with Critch's innate conservatism even when we went a goal or two down I expected us to get back into it. Im nor quite so hopeful now.

I enjoy watching us playing at this level. Over the many decades, I think it's the level where we belong.
Really hated some of the L1 sides coming here and parking the bus in our promotion season.
Although Wednesday was shite, I'm enjoying it overall.

I've enjoyed several second halves this season, but I'm yet to see a full 90 minutes where I can look back and think about what a great match that was. Perhaps I'm being unrealistic in expecting/hoping for a dominating display over 90 minutes at this level, but we got better last season and managed it (PNE springs to mind). We certainly need to start competing more in midfield, I get a bit pissed off watching us being over run there.

Agree with Ormergod that avftt does tend to blow hot and cold after a victory or defeat, but I'm guessing we're not the only fans guilty of that

I’ve had plenty of seasons as a Pool fan where enjoyment of the football on the pitch was secondary to the enjoyment of getting to the football and enjoying supporting the team. I try to tell myself to make the most of things whilst you can…as long as manager and chairman are trying to improve us and the players are trying to implement what’s being asked of them then we should keep supporting and enjoying regardless of losses or inept defending.

We are shipping goals precisely because we are trying something different with the potential to be entertaining and get results with different players and adjusted set up.

It’s a bit early to not be keeping the faith. Get the mix right and we will not be battered often and more goals could be the icing on the cake.

Not only there but holds a rather unique record 😂
That was Aldershot if you're referring to being drunk at a sporting event. 🙄

Edit - to give context, the law was only brought in a couple of weeks prior to the game - post Hillsborough. Apparently I was the first to be found guilty. 😲

I generally enjoy the games as a whole. By that the excitement & pre match tension, the actual game becomes almost insignificant when we win, or comeback, then there’s a post match beer & debate as to whether we were watching the same match. To lose always puts a downer on the rest of the day. I’ve watched some crap over the years so whilst it still disappoints me how poor we were on Wednesday. I’m still looking forward to Saturday.

Going way back to the 66/67 and no Alan Ball in the team.
We were poor apart from a mini run including Spurs away 3-1, Man Utd 5-1 ( league cup) and 6-0 against Newcastle.
It was a false dawn as without Bally we had little creativity and so it proved.
Without Bowler it is going to be tough.

Remember seeing us get biffed by Stockport at home during the Hendry era think it may have been 0-4
That's was shit on a stick
This may be a bit dull at times but light years from the dross under Hendry and Oyston
