Has the Swansea love in ended?

Back in the day, this board was full of how great Swansea fans were when the less rabid amongst them clapped our coaches as they left. My take was that the neanderthals had been cleared by the OB before the coaches left and my memory of the day was abusive twats outside the stadium (all mouth and no action to be fair) and being pelted with coins throughout the game. So... do the AVFTT massses still love the Swans? For the record, I place them on a par with Burnley & Wolves for their indiscriminate aggression towards opposition fans.

I'm sure they have their fair share of idiots but my experience has always been positive. Obviously beating Cardiff at Wembley helped our relationship but I wouldn't and don't expect any kind of kindred spirit between the 2 sets of fans.

I was sat in the north yesterday and could see the Swansea fans throwing things across to pool fans before. During and at the end of the match

Also saw them throw a bottle towards the pitch just missed a steward and that was just before the match started
I’ve had a big group of their fans in the hotel since Friday and tbf they’ve all be fab

I hope you kept them waiting at the bar.

They certainly weren’t too friendly as the South emptied……a large group seemed intent on trouble trying it would seem to push the stewards over…..oh and they weren’t just excitable kids.
Brought Back memories of my only visit there,to the old ground back in the late 80’s ,when we won and it meant us avoiding Relegation….very unfriendly bunch then and it appears some still are.
….besides which they gave Bloomfield Bear abuse…how dare they the bastards😉😉😉😉😉😀😀😀

Russell Coughlins amazing free kick, I was there. But yes those idiots in the corner of the east shouting abuse at everyone young or old.

I was in the home stand at the opposite end to most of ours……thought it would be safer….but certainly wasn’t😉think some of their’s might have been on day release from the prison next door😀😳🤔

I still remember the season before the 6 3 game when we lost 3 2 and they chucked all sorts of stuff at us.

I had to walk through a huge mob on the SW corner as I was going towards the West Stand. Very hostile, although one did apologise when he nearly bumped into me.
My walking stick is very useful.:)

I met an older guy, ok younger than me, in the Cask and Tap and took him down to the No10 before walking with him to the Stadium. A nice bloke. Proper football fan and trade beer fan. Had a great chat with him. It's a shame the idiot brigade always bring shame on their respective clubs.

I like them as they saved our bacon in 1994 when they beat Fulham and we beat Leyton Orient to escape at the death.
Likewise in 2010 when they failed to beat doomed Donny at home and we scraped into the Play offs

Thank you

Swansea.

I think from what I saw the description I saw Neanderthals is very apt.

As I was walking to the ground about 5 of them were singing

“You’re just a shit Eiffel Tower”

Whaat ?????

They weren’t looking at the tower when they were singing or they were waking the opposite way .

Grown men as well .
