Have you ever met a Morecambe fan?

my best mate from Uni is a Morecambe fan. We once went to see them away at Slough (we both live in London) and there were 17 away fans, some of whom recognised him :) McIlhargey was in nets for them and saved a pen I think.

The UK's fastest growing energy drink, Furocity, and its founder Tyson Fury have backed his local side, Morecambe FC for the upcoming campaign.
Tyson was reportedly interested in buying the club in 2022 - perhaps one day?
It's one of the Lancs clubs that I always hope wins - except tonight of course.

Yep when I was working at St Ives Printers in 2007 one of the reps was a huge Morecambe fan, he’d supported them all his life so was understandably chuffed to bits that year when they got promoted to the league.

I have we were leaving Wembley and they where arriving for there play off in 2020 when they beat Newport .There manager Derek Adams quit the day after to take up the Bradford job. And low and behold doing a good job back at Morcombe.

Met a couple who were born and still live in that area, they support Man Utd but go to a few Morecambe games a season, the worst kind of fan 🤢
I can better that. I have them in the family ( other side of course ) who have also supported Carlisle and scumbags United. They hate and ridicule us as much as they can, but one doesn't turn down a lift back to Lancaster after the match tonight .🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Worked with a lad that was a Morecambe fan about 5 years a go. His dad hadn't given him a choice on who to support growing up, that's the way it should be.

Tyson has invested a lot more money in MFC than people know about. A few years ago, when the club needed cash, he bought the 5 a side pitches behind the ground. Was refused planning permission for a big gym, then mothballed them. He's also paid wages for several months when the club didnt ( as recent as last season). That cash he paid, rumour has it he's also a % shareholder in the club. It will never be confirmed as he's the richest man in Morecambe and fans would just expect him to throw money at transfers etc.

I worked with one, he went everywhere. Driving back from Spain a few weeks back I pulled up at Hilton park. Minibus load of them, got talking while in the queue for a brew. They were on the way back from a win at Colchester, average age was around 55 plus.
just normal fans following their team.

There should be Football Rules on that
Neil Appleton

Worked with one over 35yrs ago when they were still non league.
As a Lancaster lad used to give him.pelters and gthey are still Town's biggest rivals.
Left Lancaster behind on the pitch, although that said 1000 at the Giant Axe last weekend, they were playing FC United however.

Know 1 at work but I don’t think he goes much anymore. Working shifts & family responsibilities seemed to put a stop to that.

Les Taylor correct now oversees their Former players Association ! When working at Blackpool pushed the North Lancs Supporters Club to build better membership and so we put money back into BFC.😀😀🍊🍊
Went an many away days with the North Lancs Group. Great times (except Sheff Utd away in the cup when the minibus broke down..!!)

Yeah I know a handful, mainly from working at White Lund industrial estate at Morecambe.

Decent set of people to be fair, the earlier poster who claimed they were grounded is a very good assessment.
