...and flat cap of course. Thanks for this, It won't be cold though fella, we're Northerners, this is 'maybe put a jumper on' weather
Your welcome, You sound like you know all the pubs in Digbeth its changing fast now with lots of back street pubs closing down, The crown and Irish centre should be ok, and plenty in town, Dont forget we have the German market if you want to kill time. Good luck, i know Blackpool away is the one fixture blues are looking forward to,I've never been to St, Andrews....I think my dad would have disowned me, if I ever went.....him having been a Villa fan for 40+ years
But it's nice to see a fellow Brummie offering Northerner's a very warm welcome....
Just a thought Billy....are some of the pubs down Deritend heading out towards St, Andrews still decent drinking places?
A good Saturday started in the Shakespeare (which was a Blues stronghold), then off down the Irish centre, cross over the road to the Crown, then along to the spotted dog...quick couple in St, Annes catholic club and then off back to the Custard house to finish off the night.....
Must admit, lots of Brummies living up here now.....
Park in Morrisons car park, 10 min from the away section and easy to findIs it customary to lose your car at Birmingham? Drove over for that play off match and for the life of me I couldn’t find the car after the match, took well over an hour.
Is the cricketers arms ok / away friendly?Park in Morrisons car park, 10 min from the away section and easy to find
Hug the whippet to keep warm....and flat cap of course.
Yes its fine ,if its not busy its fine for Away fans NOT VillaIs the cricketers arms ok / away friendly?
I was in the Jasper Carrot suite for that game.New Years Eve 2011? We got hammered, Ferguson got sent off, they were really good, they should have saved that performance for the play off semi a few months later.

Great O/P Billy. I’ve fond memories of your city, first time away from home as an 18 yr old student living on the Hagley Road 79-82. Drank in The Crusader at 5 ways and The Fighting Cocks in Molesley, Also remember a crazy club called the Rum Runner and Andy Gray‘s night club the (something) Zoo. Saw loads of amazing gigs at The Birmingham Odeon. Happy happy daysHi all just dropped in to see what you think about the game on saturday, We have 14 players out so i would take a draw now, I know it will be a tough game as i see you held wba last night, Its going to be cold so wrap up well.if your coming by coach it drops you in your seat ,By car you can find a few places in the side streets,By train its only a 20 min walk to the ground. i have seen people say get another train from moor st but why for such a short walk.Pubs around the ground are small and normally full of blues supporters so best to drink in the city centre . There is a Mc Donalds 5 mins from the ground and a morrisons which sells hot food just behind bnm bargins on the coventry road 10 mins from the ground. If you did want to make a weekend out of it there is a travel inn just behind Mc Donalds. Good luck and safe trip.Bill

They way he walks off at about the 30second mark made me chuckle...reminded me a bit of Dick Emery "ooh you are awful" (one for the older readers of this board)
