This cold weather is pretty depressing and apparently last week is/was the busiest time for people to book holidays.....so for those fortunate enough, where are you heading this year?

Personally, got Italy (multi-cities) in March into April, Belgium (Bruges, Brussels & Ghent) in July and Istanbul in September....maybe it's because I'm getting older but I seem to have drifted away from beach holidays and aim to travel more and see other places!

Did Keswick just over a week ago, Chester at Easter, Kirkby Lonsdale May BH weekend, Skipton June, Colne in August & Keswick in December again so far so good as I'm sure that's only some on this years calendar. I dare say we'll try some new (to us) destinations.

Our eldest Seasider daughter & husband did Bruges, Brussels & Ghent over Christmas. They had a brilliant time.

Should have been in Marrakesh over NY but family bereavement led to cancellation
Might look at re-booking for Feb half term as weather still looks decent
Have 9 night in Barbados booked for Easter and will likely look at a European road trip or somewhere in Italy for Whit
Also have lads trip to Porto booked for second half of June

We visit Bruges several times a year to see BrugesSeasiders mum. Let me know if you need any tips. Also, Ghent is a great place

New York for a week in April, the lakes in August and either Dublin or Galway in December currently.

Will likely book a staycation somewhere in Scotland as well in an Airbnb.

Hoping to squeeze in one or two more city breaks as well, quite fancying the idea of Copenhagen at the moment.

Euro 2024 - see how far we get!

No idea yet what else, apart from this weekend in Singapore for a wedding.

Normally I have loads booked!

Currently in Umhlanga Rocks near Durban. 23° today and wettest day I've ever seen anywhere although we've been blessed with fantastic weather since we arrived. Flying to Camps Bay near Cape Town on Friday for a long weekend.
Food and drink chain in South Africa puts us to shame in terms of quality and price.

Sarigerme in Turkey in June ( only thing is it’s during the Scottish school holidays, so probably inundated with sweaties).

Both kids are mega excited as there is a shop in Sarigerme village that stocks the cheap knock off style football kits.

July stag do in Prague and a couple of weeks in southern Spain in September culminating with a wedding in Tarifa. Then our usual back and forth between Sweden and the UK.

Said previously that 2023 was an absolute shit show for our family so aim to make up for it in 2023.

So we've got a big family gathering going to Centre Parks first week in Feb.
Me and the youngest having a weekend in London in Feb taking in a PL game.
Football weekend away in April with BSA to Carlisle -think there's nearly 40 going.
River cruise with the missus for my 70th at the end of April down the Danube taking in Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Salzburg and two other places where names escape me.
Week in June in the Cotswolds for my wifes birthday. She broke her arm second day there last year so we've re-booked same cottage so we can finish off what we had planned to do last year.
And in October six of us off for four days in Tokyo followed by a 14 day cruise round Japan and South Korea.

Have a good 'un John. Your trip was discussed at our coffee club gathering yesterday.

Bowness/Windermere 1st March to 15th November.

I’ve also just got my free bus pass on reaching 66 last week so I’ll start to use busses for once, don’t think I’ve been on a bus for a decade so a trip all around Cumbria is high up on my to do list.
Which site and do they do seasonal pitches for tourers?

Favourite place. Was watching the Giro d'italia last year and they went through Limoneand Riva which is where we usually go. When the race finished, I went online and booked a holiday!
Stunning and June is the right time too before all the Germans descend on the place. Lake Como is also beautiful 👍

Ibiza in May for a mad one
Florida mid July for two weeks with the the kids
Mid-West US rollercoaster trip in October

Waiting to see if I've 'won' any Euros tickets in the ballot for a trip to Germany

Long weekend in Dumfries area, Scotland early June,
Benidorm with the Lads end Sept,
Home for a couple of days then back there with the Mrs early Oct

We are restricted to Europe now as no-one will give us health insurance due to Mrs Kerry's health problems. So, mid-April, ferry from Rosslare to Bilbao, drive to Barcelona, ferry to Mallorca, Cala Millor, for 2 weeks, back to the mainland for 2 weeks in L'Estartit on the Costa Brava, into France to drive along the Pyrenees to Tarbes, back in to Spain, stock up on food and wine and back to Ireland end of May. I think we will look at a cruise for the autumn.

Benalmadena May
Benidorm June (lads)
Lakes July

Was thinking of October but with the EU change (fingerprints and 3yr visa thing) coming I think it will be bedlam so gonna give it a miss

Cycle down Baldo
Quality
Love to do that but only been able to persuade the family to go up and down in the Cable Car. Best I ever achieve on a bike is along the valley heading North and having a beer and pizza in an ancient town.

Last time I managed to get a few hours and walk up the Capella Santa Barbara in the cliffs above Riva. Pretty spectacular views from up there.

Because one of my woofers has epilepsy and other things we can't leave him so it will be somewhere doggy friendly on the East coast somewhere or Cornwall for a week in June. We don't mind but I really miss my regular visits to the South of Spain, but they'll happen again. Actually off to Happisburgh in Norfolk for a week with the hounds a week today so looking forward to that.
